Titans Mobile Suits

Remember the Titans.

The Titans were an elite counter-insurgency group formed by the Federation Council in response to the events of Operation Stardust in 0083, where the Federation lost the large part of its fleet to a nuclear attack perpetrated by Zeon loyalists. The Federation decided to form an elite unit of the Earth Federation Space Force whose sole purpose would be to hunt down renegade citizens who either supported the Zeon and their cause or spoke out against the Federation government.
The Titans were founded by Jamitov Hymen, who argued that the safety of the Federation displaced the civil rights of the citizens living under the Federation. In creating the Titans, he essentially created a special forces unit that had the ability to act outside the limit of Federation's supervision. As time passed, more people lined up to join the Titans, inspired by the group's success in repelling Anti-Federation movements. It should be noted, though, that this wasn't always the case - many Federation soldiers joined the Titans not because of the successes, but because the Titans power was growing and many didn't want to become irrelevant anymore, thus joining the Titans was the lesser of two evils.

Titans Test Team "Gundams"

Titans Test Team AKA T3.

Created in U.C. 0084, The Titans Test Team, or “T3 Corps,” is a military unit formed to test prototype mobile weapons and gather data for the development of future Titans weapons. Titans Test Team members also participate in combat missions in order to collect battle data. The Black Otter team, or “Murphy team,” commanded by Lieutenant Wes Murphy is one of several subdivisions of the Titans Test Team. In addition to Murphy himself, its members include Eliard Hunter, Carl Matsubara, and Audrey April. Stationed aboard the Alexandria-class cruiser Aswan with their experimental machines, they participate in many battles on Earth and in space up until the conclusion of the Gryps Conflict.
There "Gundams" are actually GM Quels with a Gundam-type's head, used for psychological warfare and parts interchangeability. All of these units are limited in numbers, and not, in fact, separate Mobile Suits. There are a total of six units with the TR-X designation.

On January 29, U.C. 0088, A group of junior officers in the Titans Mobile Suit Instructor Corps stationed at the remote asteroid Pezun near Side 2 (L4) stage a rebellion led by Brave Cod against the AEUG allied command of the facility in order to further their own ambitions. In response to this action, the Earth Federation government forms Task Force Alpha, a small force of EFSF, AEUG, and Karaba veterans in order to deal with this issue. In order to assist the task force, the Federation assigned the MSA-0011 S Gundam to the task force to complete the operation before the rebellion begins to spread to other locations.
