Setting info TBD. Basically: Romanticized historical japanese stuff with a hint of mysticism and ninjas. I'm meshing the Tokugawa era with some Meiji stuff.

Recap

Story So Far

So, the princess made it to the castle with her trusty samurai friend, Kakita Yaeko. The other ninjas and swordsmen decided to spend some time wandering the city for some shopping in the esteemed trade city, Haru. They had fabrics, food, and spices galore! A total sweet haven for any merchant. Speaking of merchants, Seiya had made a friend with the Fushimi Merchant, Hirofumi and she had decided to help the guy out. I mean, those Juzo guards tried to kill him, so helping a guy out by checking his goods seems like the Good Samaritan thing to do. Anyway, Seiya went to Hirofumi's warehouse and noticed it was broken INTO and instead of stealing anything, someone had left a crate there instead. Seiya opened up that grate and lo and behold..! It was a bunch of bloody, burned rich people fabric and a broken priest staff. Seiya thought that this could be some sort of murder cover up, so she left the warehouse.. but just before she could locate the others, an old man named Hein ran into her and said he needed the crate. Seiya and Hein struck up a conversation which was kind of weird. Hein compared Seiya to Lady Kagura, a famous priestess of the Yata Clan that comes from a legend in his home city, Miho. Hein and Seiya kinda bonded and Seiya came clean about how the crate Hein was going to take was basically full of murder stuff. Hein was shocked and decided not to take the crate back to him in his shop in Miho, where he was paid to repair the items inside that box. Hein insisted that if Seiya was saving him by preventing him from taking that cursed crate and that if she ever comes to Miho, she should visit him. Seiya took his card and then met up with the others.

Back at Yaeko's mansion, the princess and Yaeko returned having some good news that the trade talks went really well! But the good mood was thrown off a bit because the crate with the murder goods was there. Yaeko, having recognized that garment before.. saw that it was the clothes that Juzo Harken had been wearing at the time of his demise. After continued jostling around, eventually a broken jade coin fell out of an inner pocket of the bloody rich person garment. The crew discussed what they should do and decided that they should reach out to the Haru family Onmyouji, Lady Sakurazuka. Lady Sakurazuka then arrived and took the coin, saying that this could be the key to uncovering secrets that Juzo had been hiding from Lord Takeshi, the second son of the Haru family. The crate, after that, was then disposed off and Juzo's clothing remains and staff were burned.
