=Oans AKA Guardians of The Universe=
=[https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Oa Oans AKA Guardians of The Universe]=
Oa is one of the oldest planets in the DCU. It is the home and headquarters of the Guardians of the Universe, an alien race of blue-skinned, white-haired scientifically powerful humanoids. These aliens have evolved from a planet called Maltus. The Guardians administer their brand of policing the Universe by creating champions know as the Green Lantern Corps, a group of powerful universal police officers. Each member of the Green Lantern Corps is equipped by the Guardians with Green Power Rings and a Green Lantern Power Battery with which to charge the rings. Oa was chosen to be the headquarters of the universe, because it is said by the Guardians that it lies in the center of the universe if we imagine the universe as a sphere. This sphere is divided equally into segments all leading to Oa and those are the patrolling sectors of the Green Lantern Corps.
Originally from the planet Maltus, the race that would become the Guardians was one of the first races of intelligent life in the universe. Evolving quickly, they developed a society devoted to knowledge and science, often involving themselves in experiments on other planets. One of the Maltusians, Krona, engaged in a forbidden experiment to witness the creation of the universe. Though his fellows attempted to stop him, the damage had been done and the universe was splintered, causing the creation of the Multiverse, as well as the Antimatter universe Qward. The Maltusians relocated to Oa and dedicated themselves to destroying the evil and rescuing the universe from chaos. To this end, they eventually harnessed the Glow to create the Central Power Battery and ultimately the Green Lantern Corps. Later divisions in the group saw the creation of the Zamarons, the Controllers, and the Mesopotamian Gods and Leprechauns on Earth.
Three billion years ago, the Manhunters were the original attempt at a universal peacekeeping force by the Guardians of the Universe. A subdivision of the Green Lantern Corps, the Alpha Lanterns serve as the Guardians' Internal Affairs officers and are powerful shock-troopers. During the Sinestro Corps War the Guardians Of The Universe saw fit to add a new law to the Book of OA decreeing the use of lethal force was now enabled in the Lantern Power Ring of all members of the Green Lantern Corps against any member of the Sinestro Corps. This new law allowed the Green Lantern to turn the tides of the war against the Sinestro Corps, and helped allow the Green Lanterns claim their victory over Sinestro and his Corps.
The Green Lantern Corps is an intergalactic police force dedicated to the promotion of order and democracy throughout the universe. Each Green Lantern member protects a sector and it is their duty to defend it from any possible threat. At the beginning of the universe, the population of the planet Maltus evolved into powerful and highly intelligent beings. They soon colonized a planet situated in the center of the universe, Oa. From then on they called themselves Oans. After one of their own, the renegade Oan Krona, performed an experiment that nearly annihilated all of creation, the Oans promised from that moment forward to combat evil throughout all regions of space, no matter how desolate, as the self-appointed Guardians Of The Universe.
Among the many treasures they were able to steal were an ornate box and what seemed to be a treasure map. The map, created by the Maltusian scientist Krona, lead out of the system to the far away Okaara in the Vega System. The Sinestro Corps is a mirror organization to the Green Lantern Corps. Its members are chosen from those who can instill great fear and are given Qwardian Yellow Power rings. They are considered to be the evil equivalent of the Green Lantern Corps. After his defeat at the hands of Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner, Sinestro retreated to Qward where he began building his own corps based off his yellow power ring and the power of fear, embodied by Parallax. The purpose of doing so was for Sinestro to form his own corps that would enforce his vision of order (using those beings that instil great fear), of which he had always been at odds with the Green Lantern corps, during his time as a member. He built this Sinestro Corps in secret, recruiting beings from all the sectors of the universe in the same way the Guardians of the Universe did for the Green Lantern Corps. Sinestro selected the Talokian Lyssa Drak to be the Sinestro Corps historian and chained her to the Book of Parallax.
They came from Outer Space!

Badoon

They were notable for having a gender schism, resulting in two separate societies

 • The Brotherhood of Badoon, ruled by a Brother Royal, lived on the planet Moord,
 • The Sisterhood of Badoon, ruled by a Queen, resided on the Badoon homeworld of Lotiara (Capella System), also known as "Swampworld"), 42.2 light years from Earth.

Additionally, a third major group, known as the Moord or the Fifth Caste of the Badoon, were Badoon tinkered by the Kree similarly to Earth's Inhumans. Those included Badoon of both genders. Like the other components of the Universal Inhuman, the Fifth Caste was led by a Queen.
The planet Sqazzl was in Badoon space.
Badoon have long been allies of Thanos, enslaving lesser evolved civilizations across the galaxy, who were put to work for Thanos as well as the Badoon's barbaric needs. Slaves were taken to their homeworld and placed under the control of the slave trade council. Aliens were kidnapped from their worlds and put them to work on their prison planet.
The males were militaristic, but the females were pacifists. While the male Badoon were brutal to other races and violent toward their females (and vice versa), the Badoon were gentle and courteous with their pets and beasts of burden. Badoon were a patient race, but their patience had limits.[27] It was a race of hoarders, who gathered objects which they stored in vaults. Badoon had a low opinion of mammals, and believed that mammals were not to be fought but slaughtered. The males among the Badoon enjoyed the hunting and taking of captives, and the fear their victims experienced delighted the Badoon. It was thought of as a sport and enjoyed hunting those foes who gave them a challenge.

Chitauri

The Chitauri are a distinct species from the Skrulls, unlike their Earth-1610 counterpart. Most of them are simple-minded dogged creatures, similar to insects, to the point of following a queen. A group of Chitauri worked with Titus and, like him, were enemies of Nova Corps' Supernovas; more specifically members Sam Alexander and his father Jesse. Sam was able to defeat an entire Chitauri armada and Titus with the Ultimate Nullifier that he stole from them in the first place. The Chitauri were holding Jesse captive as one of the numerous slaves forced to fight in their gladiatorial games on their homeworld, Chitauri Prime, until Alexander was able to successfully rally a slave uprising and escape the planet in a captured Chitauri ship.

Cybermen

The Cybermen were a "race" of cybernetically augmented humanoids. They varied greatly in design, with different factions originating independently by parallel evolution on planets throughout time and space, including Mondas, Telos, an alternate Earth, Planet 14, and Marinus. Some Cybermen were born out of an instinct to survive, others hungered for immortality because their civilizations were dying out and they wanted to survive, and some were born from the intent to upgrade themselves and everyone around them.

The Cybermen from Pete's World were also rather bulky, notably using the Cybus Industries logo on their chest plate. Their emotional inhibitor was a metal rectangular device placed near the heart. The Tenth Doctor's sonic screwdriver was capable of turning off the inhibitor once the chest plate was removed.

Daemonites

The Daemonites are an alien race enemy of the Kherubim, the alien race which most of the members of the WildCATs belong. They cameto earth along with their enemies and were stranded with them in ancient earth when their ships crashed on the planet. As the kherubim inspired the heroes of the earth myths, the daemonites inspired the demons from legend.
The Daemonites on Earth were mostly fanatical freedom-fighter/terrorist types who would do anything to defeat the Kherubim. The ones seen on Khera in the later WildC.A.T.S. series were downtrodden third-class citizens (below even the Titanthrops) confined to segregated ghettos and reservations. Their home planet was described as mired in postwar poverty, and kept that way deliberately for thousands of years after the war by the Kherubim victors.
It was revealed than the Kherubims were the ones who created the daemonites to serve as slaves, but the daemonites rebelled against them and started a war that spanned for millennia. The ones on earth still fighting against them even after discovering the end of the war.

Daleks

The Daleks were a warrior race made up of genetically engineered mutants belonging to fundamental DNA type 467-989. (TV: Daleks in Manhattan) By most accounts they were originally from the planet Skaro. (TV: The Daleks) The mutants were usually encased inside armour consisting of polycarbide and the metal Dalekanium.
On many occasions, the Daleks openly acknowledged a single Time Lord, the Doctor, as their greatest enemy. The Doctor described them likewise, and, in their tenth incarnation, stated that a Dalek was "not just metal, it [was] alive," that "inside that shell, there [was] a creature born to hate, whose only thought [was] to destroy everything and everyone that [wasn't] a Dalek, too." The Tenth Doctor also noted that from birth, the Daleks were encased in a cold metal shell unable to feel anything, claiming that was why they "scream[ed]." The War Doctor also said that Daleks were "not robots", but "savage, incredibly intelligent, living, breathing creatures housed inside a war tank".
The Daleks fought the Time Lords in the Last Great Time War, ending in the near-total destruction of the Dalek race, until they rebuilt their empire (TV: Asylum of the Daleks) by using a progenitor. Intensely xenophobic and bent on universal domination, the Daleks were hated and feared throughout time and space. Their goal was to eradicate all non-Dalek life, as programmed by their creator.
Although the Daleks looked entirely robotic, they were, in fact, cyborgs, with a living body encased in and supported by an armed and mobile outer shell of Dalekanium and polycarbide protective metal armour. These were Mark III travel machines, designed to carry their mutant forms, and they were not truly integrated biomechanoids. In this respect, they were somewhat similar to a Cyberman; unlike them, however, the Daleks' bodies had mutated so drastically from their Kaled ancestors they had lost all humanoid appearance, save for one eye.. The Daleks transmitted information using a sort of artificial telepathic network known as the Pathweb, which the Twelfth Doctor would later state to be the “biggest database [he knew]”.

Dominators

The Dominators, collectively known as the Dominion, are an alien race from the outer cosmos of the universe. They are highly technologically advanced, and live in a rigid hierarchical society, in which one's caste is determined by the size of a red circle on one's forehead. They are master geneticists who can manipulate the meta-gene to enhance members of their own caste.
The Dominators were the chief instigators behind the Alien Alliance that invaded Earth. The Dominators believed that the unpredictable evolutionary tendencies of Earth's metahumans posed a clear and present danger to the state of the universe. When the invasion was beginning to crumble and turning to Earth's favor, one Dominator created a 'Gene Bomb' and detonated it in Earth's atmosphere that would affect many individuals that possess the metagene, causing them to lose control of their powers and eventually fall into a coma and die. Since the point of the invasion was to harness these beings, not eradicate them, the Dominator was imprisoned by his own government, but prior to execution a group of heroes unaffected by the Gene Bomb, led by the Martian Manhunter, managed to steal data from his mind crucial to reversing the effects of the Gene Bomb and restore most metahumans back to health. Ironically, the detonation of the Gene Bomb was actually responsible for the creation of several metahumans.

Gallifreyans

The Gallifreyans were the original humanoid species native to the planet Gallifrey. Already a proud spacefaring civilisation with pretensions to godhood, who sometimes called themselves the Space Lords of Gallifrey, they were granted the power of time travel and regeneration thanks to Rassilon and Omega's creation of the Eye of Harmony, and became the Time Lords.
The majority of Time Lords were genetically Gallifreyans, since they arose from the species; they considered themselves to be the elite of Gallifreyan society, as only a select few bloodlines had been granted the privilege of becoming Time Lords when Rassilon originally unveiled the Eye. Accounts were, however, divided on whether there remained any non-Time-Lord Gallifreyans on the planet in later periods of its history.

Kherubim

The Kherubim were a humanoid space-faring race that systematically traveled from world to world and conquered races to feed their gene and subjugate the native population as slaves.
Using vast Planet-Shaper Engines, they remade entire worlds into Kherubim compatible habitats for their leisure. Thousands of years ago, the Kherubim destroyed their own planet, according to Titan myth. They then came to Khera and settled it, subjugating the Titanothropes.[1] The Titans would slowly become more or less accepted within the Kherubim society, but remained second-class citizens to the Kherubim.
Millennia ago the Kherans came into contact with the Daemonites, who were actually created as a slave race to the Kherubim but rebelled, and a war erupted between both species. This war would last several centuries. A small group of Kherans and Daemonites would crashland on Earth and would inspire humanity with tales of gods, angels, demons and monsters. Their conflict would continue till the end of the 20th century, while in space the Kherans would go on to defeat the Daemonites. Kherans imposed heavy indemnities on the Daemonites and their society went bankrupt trying to pay them off. Khera allowed Daemonites to migrate to the more prosperous planet, but all Daemonites on Khera had to live in ghettos. When a small group of Kheran and half-Kheran heroes from Earth, known as the WildC.A.T.s, arrived on Khera, they were welcomed as heroes, but they quickly found out that Kheran society had changed over the years. They left the planet, but now the Kherans knew of Earth.

Kree

The Kree are responsible for the creation of the Inhumans by experimenting on early man. The Supreme Intelligence forced the Kree into a new form of evolution the Ruul. The Ruul were the main instigators of maximum security.
The Kree started out as a primitive species sharing their planet Hala with the Cotati, a race of plantlike humanoids. Their planet was visited by the Skrulls, whom at the time where a peaceful race. They told the Kree and the Cotati that one of their species would be chosen to represent their planet in an interplanetary counsel. To chose which species it would be; they sent both the Kree and the Cotati to our moon, and told them each to build a city there. The species that built the best one would be chosen to represent the planet. The Kree labored over building a city (what is now the blue area of the moon) while the Cotati slept. When the Skrulls came back to the moon to award a winner they found that the Cotati had grown a huge garden while they slept! The Cotati won the contest. Furious, the Kree killed all of the Cotati and all of the Skrulls that visited their planet. They then used the Skrull ship to go to the Skrull home world and start the Kree-Skrull wars.
The Second Kree-Skull War was started by the Skrulls although the Kree were considering it. The Skrulls were led by Kylor, one of five claiming to be Emperor of the Skrulls. After capturing a Kree spy on one of their worlds they decided to strike first. When the Supreme Intelligence lost his mind, Nenora took over as Supreme Leader. Nenora was secretly a Skrull, but choose to remain a Kree and rule over all. She betrayed Kylor and her people. The Skrull campaign was taken over by Empress S'byll after Kylor's death. Nenora was defeated by S'byll when she gave Nenora her shape-shifting powers back. S'byll announced to the Kree their leader was truly a Skrull and that she had won the war. But, S'byll declared a peace. Tus-Katt was the highest ranking member available and he did not accept a peace, this was against all the Kree stand for. The best he could accept was a truce, which she accepted.

Kryptonians

Kryptonians are an extraterrestrial humanoid species of beings who originate on the planet Krypton. Kryptonians are basically humans in their structure and appearance, but their biology is far more advanced than that of Earth based humans where they are able to utilize energy in their body with far more direct and elaborate manners than Earth based humans do. The source of their immense energy metabolizing abilities lies in their cells which are said to be the greatest organic power storage units in the known galaxy.
In each of the main universes, the aspects of the Kryptonian culture had differences, but in all it is accepted that Kryptonians are a highly technologically advanced people. In Earth-Two's Krypton, children as young as 5 years of age studied engineering[3]. In New Earth's Krypton, the people lived isolated, rarely having personal meetings, only communicating through electronic methods. They had no sexual intercourse anymore, and their sons were generated by artifical ways gathering gametes of a couple into a matrix chamber.[4] Their technology seems to be based on self-grown crystals which made up the vast majority of their planet's surface. Vast amounts of data and information could be stored on relatively small crystals. The Fortress of Solitude is a recreation of Krypton's surface, and also serves as a storehouse for all the knowledge obtained by the Kryptonian race from the 28 known galaxies.
Each Kryptonian family, or what is called a "House," is represented by a crest or symbol, often worn by the head of the house. The House of El, for example, is represented by an "S"-like shape. Coincidentally, Superman wears this same symbol on his costume that serves for dual meanings: his Kryptonian heritage and the "S" for Superman.

Kymellians

Centuries ago, the Kymellians experimented with a formula to generate energy from anti-matter, but destroyed their home planet, Kymellia. Many Kymellians survived, and created a new home: a huge artificial world named Kymellia II. Kymellians have the latent potential of superpowers. These include abilities they consider 'lesser' such as teleportation and healing, and other, 'major' ones. Mastering the major powers is very rare among them. The Kymellians' ancestral enemies, the Snarks, call them "Sorcerers" for their powers, although no magic is actually involved[1] (nevertheless, some White Room Kymellians become mages).
Aelfyre "Whitey" Whitemane and his Smartship Friday, a sentient starship, one of many used by Kymellians, called Friday after the character in Robinson Crusoe (after Aelfyre's interest in human literature), were studying Earth when a human scientist, Dr. James Power, was about to commit the same mistake that destroyed Kymellia. Whitey tries to ask his people for permission to interfere and save the Earth, but his message is intercepted by another race the Zn'rx (pronounced "Snarks"), and they kidnap Dr. Power and his wife Margaret to learn the anti-matter formula. Whitey is mortally wounded in the process. Whitey rescues Power's four children, and grants them the powers he had mastered as a Kymellian Sorcerer: control over gravity and the abilities to fly, to change his molecular density, and to convert matter into energy. With this final act, Whitey perishes. The children use their new powers to save the world and their parents, and become the superhero group Power Pack.
Months later, Power Pack travel to Kymellia II, where they learn that most Kymellians thought poorly of Whitey's decision, and that their culture was under the influence of a ruthless Kymellian Technocrat. The Pack even had to fight the Kymellian champions, Force Four, a team of four Kymellian Sorcerers. The Pack defeated them, and then saved the Kymellians from the Zn'rx with Kofi's help. During these events, Ghostmare became The Matriarch, the Kymellians' spiritual leader, and established a new planet, Kymellia III.

Oans AKA Guardians of The Universe

Manhunters

Three billion years ago, the Manhunters were the original attempt at a universal peacekeeping force by the Guardians of the Universe. These androids, who lacked emotion and empathy, were sent throughout the universe to police all worlds where sentient life was to be found. The Guardians would come to realize that this was a mistake. The Manhunters were the original peacekeeping force of the Guardians of the Universe. After the infamous massacre of Sector 666, where the Manhunters killed trillions of sentient beings after deciding life was too chaotic to result in peace in the universe, they were dismantled and replaced by the Green Lantern Corps.

Alpha Lanterns

Fists Of The Guardians

The three "Fists of the Guardians" were utilized to apprehend the Green Lanterns Sinestro of Sector 1417 and Hal Jordan of Sector 2814. The Fists of the Guardians were created by the Guardians of the Universe, as the their 2nd Generation of Robotic Enforcers. Presumably, the Fists were created with similar technology to their predecessors, the unstable robotic army known as the Manhunters. This similarity might have led to the Fists apparent deactivation.

Green Lantern Corps

Blue Lantern Corps

Powered by the Blue Light of Hope, the Blue Lantern Corps has been tasked with bringing hope to a desperate Universe, to see it through the dark times that lie ahead. They are both the strongest and weakest of the Lantern Corps. The Corps are lead by Saint Walker. The Blue Lantern Corps was founded by Ganthet and Sayd, two former Guardians of the Universe. For daring to acknowledge the Blackest Night Prophecy, they were banished from Oa. After their exile Ganthet and Sayd settled on the planet Odym to create the first Blue Power Ring, and eventually the Blue Lantern Corps itself.

Indigo Tribe

The Indigo Tribe wield staff lanterns powered by the Indigo Light of Compassion. The Indigo Tribe are those that are unable to feel compassion and Members of the Tribe wield the Indigo Light through a staff as their lantern, yet they also wield indigo rings. The Tribe has it's own language, and despite the educated guesses concerning their stance in combat, both Indigo and Munk have eagerly taken up arms against the Black Lanterns. Their powers are demonstrated by their ability to channel the emotional energy of other Lanterns through their staffs, such as willpower, fear, and even the black rings, in what can only be describe as an extreme form of empathy. It appears that Abin Sur, the former Green Lantern of Sector 2814, has more connections to the Tribe then have been alluded, as Indigo refers to him as her savior, and his name is a part of the Tribe's oath.
The members of the tribe are completely dedicated to spreading goodwill throughout the universe, forsaking all material possessions and living out meager lives as they spread the indigo light. While nothing is currently known about the individual members, they are led by a female alien whose name is Indigo. In recent issues of Green Lantern, Ganthet and Sayd have set their Blue Lanterns with the task of finding those who wield the Indigo Light, so hope and compassion can work together when the Blackest Night begins.

Orange Lantern Corps

Fueled by the Orange Light of Avarice, the Orange Lantern Corps is dominated by Larfleeze, who jealously guards his power against all others. The rest of the corps is populated by the stolen essences of other beings given form as avatars through the orange light. Many thousands of years ago five thieves raided the planet Maltus-- which was once home to the Guardians of the Universe. Among the many treasures they were able to steal were an ornate box and what seemed to be a treasure map. The map, created by the Maltusian scientist Krona, lead out of the system to the far away Okaara in the Vega System. The thieves-- now numbering four, after one was lost in their escape from Maltus to the Manhunters guarding the treasures-- split the map into sections amongst themselves and followed it to Okaara.
Once there, they journeyed into the Forest of Weeds-- where they lost another of their party. Finally they stumbled on the location of the treasure the map had promised: in a subterranean ruin, the Orange Power Battery awaited them. Transfixed by it, the three all attempted simultaneously to take it for themselves. The Guardians and a squadron of Manhunters had tracked the thieves to Okaara and their prize. As the thieves struggled for possession of the power battery, their efforts and greed awoke it's power. The orange lantern's power was so great that it burned all the Manhunters, a number of Guardians, and one of the thieves.
In order to keep the orange light from the rest of the universe and to recover the stolen box (which acted as a prison for Parallax), the Guardian made a deal with the remaining thieves. In exchange for the box they would leave the Vega System and never return or interfere, as long as it remained there. The bargain contained one additional conditions however: The orange light would only be allowed a single keeper. Maddened by their greed, the thieves fought until only one remained: Larfleeze. The Guardians departed and remained away for thousands of years-- even going as far as to declare the Vega System out of Green Lantern Corps jurisdiction.

Red Lantern Corps

Powered by the red light of rage, Atrocitus and his Red Lanterns travel the universe enacting violent retribution against injustice wherever they find it. The hate that founded the Red Lantern Corps came out of the infamous Massacre of Sector 666, during which the Manhunters exterminated life in an entire sector. The five survivors of this unthinkable genocide swore vengeance upon the Guardians of the Universe and became the Five Inversions terrorist cell. These five beings were eventually brought down and crucified on the hellish prison planet Ysmault, where one's rage continued unyielding. This one, Atrocitus, delved deeper into his dark magic in search of a power to strong enough to exact his vengeance.

Sinestro Corps

Star Sapphire Corps

Using the Violet Light of Love and led by the Zamarons, the Star Sapphire Corps plans to change the hearts of the universe. Originally there was only one Star Sapphire and that was Carol Ferris. In the silver age of comics she was both a friend and foe to Hal Jordan. She was imbued with the power of the Star Sapphire which made her mad with love (though this showed itself in very negative ways.) The power was given to her by the Zamarons. When it was revealed by prophecy in the Book of Oa that numerous Lantern Corps would emerge, one became apparent to be the Star Sapphire Corps.
After one of the Zamarons was possessed by a Star Sapphire gem, the race of females realized that the gems were simply too overpowering and unwieldy to use. So it was that the Zamarons decided to learn from the Guardians of the Universe and refashioned the gems into power rings and create the Corps (and the Violet Lantern). Unlike with the gems the wielders of the rings were aware of their actions and could control the impulses of the rings. In so doing they changed the legacy of the Star Sapphire from being a single villain to a group of heroes (which included Carol).

Shi'Ar

The Shi'ar are an avian-descended humanoid race of extraterrestrial beings that hail from the planet Chandilar, located in the large Shi'ar Galaxy. They are technologically advanced and extremely militaristic, conquering every world in their galaxy and forming the Shi'ar Empire.
The Shi'ar Empire is a vast intergalactic empire that rules a million worlds. It is an aggressively expansionist empire whose religion instructs the Shi'ar to "marry" other cultures, by force if necessary, to become stronger.[3] The empire is ruled by an autocratic imperial government headed by the Majestor (male) or Majestrix (female) who is advised by a High Council made up of selected worlds. Conquered worlds are permitted to self-govern within limits given by the empire.

Skrulls

The Skrulls are a race of green-skinned, humanoid shapeshifters from the Andromeda Galaxy. They are a ferocious warrior race, one which may also be the most devious race in the cosmos and yet in their own way they are also a noble warrior race. Whom have carved for themselves the oldest interstellar empire in the universe's history. The Skrulls conquered or colonized every suitable world in the Andromeda Galaxy. Dominating a galaxy with millions of inhabited worlds. The Skrulls are a race whom have ravaged a thousand galaxies. In the last 100 years, the Skrulls have waged interstellar warfare with the Kree, Badoon, Dire Wraiths, Brood, Xartans, Majesdanians, Xandarians, the Annihilation Wave, and the Builders.
The ancestors of the Skrulls were allegedly created by the Xorrians (along with all humanoid life-forms, such as Kree and Humans) from their own DNA. These Skrull ancestors resided on Skrullos, a planet in the Drox system. The Skrulls were once a peaceful race, until the Celestials arrived at Skrullos over a 100 million years ago. The Celestials went on to split the Skrulls into three races: the baseline Skrulls, with no special abilities but the potential to evolve, the Deviant Skrulls, with shapeshifting abilities, and the Eternal Skrulls, who were given longevity and super powers. Almost immediately, this led to war, in which the Deviant Skrulls exterminated the other two races.
Thus all modern Skrulls are descendants of the Deviant branch. The Skrulls later split again, giving rise to the Dire Wraiths, a parasitic race that could still shape-shift and had use of magic, but were not as technologically advanced as the Skrulls. Dire Wraith's are analogous to the Skrulls as vampires are to humans.[28] At some point, the Skrulls became genetically frozen in place, unable to evolve further, as punishment for a single Skrull abusing the power of the Crystal of Ultimate Vision, located within the Citadel of Light and Shadow. It no longer appears to be the case as an increasing number of Skrulls are born as mutants, possessing the K-gene which gives them mutations and/or superhumans powers resulting in Skrull Mutants.

Tamaraneans

Tamaraneans are descended from a feline race and who worship the goddess X'Hal. The Tamaraneans were originally from the planet Okaara before either migrating or were brought to Tamaran.
The Tamaraneans are a peaceful race, as their society is driven more by emotion than reason. Unfortunately, the Tamaraneans were eventually forced into war when they were threatened by the Citadel. The Tamaraneans defended their planet against the Citadel for more than an Earth century until Komand'r, one of Tamaran's royalty, betrayed her people and revealing crucial military secrets to the Citadel. The Tamaraneans were utterly defeated and nearly driven to extinction. King Myand'r made a reluctant truce with the Citadel in which he was forced to give his daughter, Koriand'r, to Citadel slavers.

Thanagarians

Thanagar is the homeworld of the hawk-like Thanagarians and known for its mineral deposit of Nth Metal. Although the planet is predominately inhabited by the Thanagarians, it is also home to several other indigenous races, such as the Lizarkons.
Thanagar was a slave world in the empire of the planet Polara millennia ago. According to legend, a slave named Kalmoran slew his keeper and organized an army of his fellow Thanagarians, and led them in attacking a Polarian garrison, seizing their starships and using them to attack the other Polarian slave worlds. After defeating the slave planets, Kalmoran's armada attacked and razed Polara, ending the Polarian empire. Kalmoran returned to Thanagar, where he built a great city and lived there as his home planet's ruler.
Generations after Kalmoran, the Thanagarians built a vast interstellar empire and adopted policies of aggression and imperialism. Ultimately, the Thanagarians joined the Dominators and their Alliance in invading Earth, which was successfully opposed by Earth's metahuman heroes and its armed forces. Following the failure of the invasion, Thanagar sent an ambassador, Darl Klus, to Earth to mediate relations between the two worlds.
Thanagarian culture blossomed in the early days of their empire, producing numerous inventions and many forms of art. But as millennia passed, Thanagarian culture became sterile, and the Thanagarians increasingly relied on their subject races for both technological and artistic advances.

Viltrumites

The Viltrumites are a race of warriors and planetary conquerors from the planet Viltrum. After their emperor, Argall, was killed by Thaedus, the Viltrumites engaged in a civil war by killing off the weak on their planet. The population was made into an unbeatable race, led by Thragg. The Viltrumites established the Viltrum Empire and turned their attention to conquering planets. Thaedus founded the Coalition of Planets to combat their tyrannical ways. The Viltrumite population would be cut down enormously by The Scourge Virus. Aftewards, there would less than 50 of them. After the Viltrumite War with the Coaltion, there would only be 37 Viltrumites left in the universe. Their ranks were replenished by Thragg's Children.

Xandarians

The Xandarians are a human-like alien race from the planet Xandar, a world in the Tranta System of the Andromeda Galaxy was the original home of the Xandarian Nova Corps an intergalactic peace keeping force. The world has been decimated at least 4 times.
Originally the world was destroyed by the Luphomoid known as Zorr. The Watcher Uatu helped save the populace of Xandar and helped them construct 4 biospheres to keep the populace alive. Richard Rider's predecessor Rhomann Dey gave his life to stop Zorr and Richard Rider became what was believed to be the first Nova from earth.
Later Xandar was devastated again by an attack from the Skrulls. At this time Richard Rider gave up his Nova powers to help rebuild Xandar. Years later the space pirate Nebula would wipe out the populace in an attack. Pyreus Kril, the Xandarian Herald of Galactus called Firelord, returned to his world in time to see Queen Adora die.
Garthan Saal aka Supernova was left with the majority of the power of the Xandarian Nova Corps but the grief over losing his people and the amount of power he was granted left him mad. He attacked the Avengers believing they were hiding Nebula because she once hid amongst them (in fact Ravonna was pretending to be Nebula when she infiltrated the group). Garthan Saal was convinced to go look for Nebula within the timestream.
Later Supernova came back to the present time to confront Richard Rider aka Nova. With Nova's powers reactivated the entirety of the Nova Force was on the same plane of existence at the same time since Xandar was destroyed. Supernova used Nova to reboot the Xandarian World Mind which resulted in the populace being resurrected through cloning. The resurrected Queen Adora went about reconstituting the Xandarians's Nova corp and recruiting new members.
