=Brigade= | |||
Battlestone still wanted to create a high-profile, independent, superhuman cadre — perhaps to steal Youngblood’s thunder. At this point, Kayo and Stone heard about the Barros brothers, who lost their father and gained super-human powers in a submarine accident. The Barros family was rich and famous, and Kayo and Stone realised that recruiting the brothers would be their ticket to accomplishing Stone’s goal — to offer superhuman fighters an alternative to governmental service as Youngblood agents. Convincing the Barros brothers to both join and fund his operation, Battlestone soon assembled a California-based super-team called Brigade. The Barros brothers were code-named Coldsnap and Seahawk, and the subsequent recruits were Atlas, Thermal and Stasis.<br>
Though Brigade was supposed to be a big thing, it never really worked. One of their first missions, against an uninspired terrorist operation, did save the hostages but resulted in the uncontrolled demolition of a downtown high-rise after Brigade barged in without any intelligence of either kind.

Formed by Gardner Grayle, the Atomic Knights' original goal was to protect the displaced citizens of Blüdhaven from harassment by the agents of S.H.A.D.E.. Working with an organization called the Roundtable, they masqueraded as ordinary refugees. After Captain Atom destroyed Blüdhaven, they retreated to a lush underground bunker named Command-D.<br>

The bread and butter of the world's safety. The 'Thin Spandex Line' as they've been called.
Justice League

The Justice League is an organization comprised of the world's most powerful super-heroes dedicated to fighting crime and injustice. They work together as a team and a strike-force, acting as Earth's first line of defense against terrestrial, extra-terrestrial, supernatural, and inter-dimensional threats. Their numbers have greatly expanded over the years, but the original line-up included Aquaman, Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Superman and Wonder Woman.

After the team gained powers during a impromptu trip to space; Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and pilot Ben Grimm decided to remain together to explore the boundaries of science. Based out of the Baxter Building, the group are funded by Dr. Richards personal fortune accumulated by the many patents he has produced. They are registered as "Fantastic Four, Inc." The Authority
Following the decimation of StormWatch and the destruction of SkyWatch by an alien infestation, former member of StormWatch Black, Jenny Sparks, created The Authority alongside her StormWatch Black teammates Swift and Jack Hawksmoor, with the goal to change the world, no matter what it takes. Among their members are The Engineer (Angela Spica) (the successor of the original Engineer), Jeroen Thornedike (the latest Doctor), Apollo and Midnighter (two former members of Henry Bendix's StormWatch Zero). The Authority made their first public appearance to stop Kaizen Gamorra, an old enemy of StormWatch, who wanted to take advantage of StormWatch's breakup to take revenge upon the world. To do this he used engineered super-soldiers to destroy first Moscow and then part of London. The Authority managed to stop the attack on London, then predicted the third and final attack in Los Angeles in time to avert it. Midnighter ended Gamorra's threat by using the Carrier to destroy the superhuman clone factory on Gamorra's island.

X-Force
X-Force was born from the team known as the New Mutants and created by the mutant known as Cable. After most of the New Mutants went their separate ways, Cable reorganized the team, which originally consisted of the Cannonball, Boom-Boom, Warpath, Shatterstar, Feral, and Domino (Later revealed to actually be the shapeshifter, Copycat).
Where the other X-teams believed in protecting humans from evil mutants, X-Force adopted a proactive attitude towards mutant terrorists. Cable's basic philosophy, which he related to his team, was "Get them before they get you". X-Force was involved in attacks on mutant groups such as the Mutant Liberation Front and was itself branded early in its career as a group of terrorists.

Guardians of the Galaxy

The Guardians of the Galaxy is a group of heroes who opposed the Phalanx conquest of the Kree system (and many who had opposed Annihilus' incursion into their universe), and banded together in an attempt to prevent any further catastrophes from ever occurring.
On the recommendation of ally Nova, the group established a base of operations at the space station Knowhere, which conveniently possessed a teleportation system with near-universal range. An intelligent, super-powered dog called Cosmo acted as Knowhere's chief of security and worked closely with the new team during their first missions.

Brigade
The Barros brothers were code-named Coldsnap and Seahawk, and the subsequent recruits were Atlas, Thermal and Stasis.
Though Brigade was supposed to be a big thing, it never really worked. One of their first missions, against an uninspired terrorist operation, did save the hostages but resulted in the uncontrolled demolition of a downtown high-rise after Brigade barged in without any intelligence of either kind.

The Great Ten
Following the Infinite Crisis, China entered into a Coalition with Kahndaq, Iran, Uzbekistan, and Pakistan, leading the Great Ten to join forces with Black Adam on the battlefield. However, China's membership with Black Adam's Coalition fell apart as it was soon discovered that the Chinese government was partly responsible for funding the Science Squad that led indirectly to the death of Black Adam's wife Isis and leading to the events of World War III. The Great Ten battled Black Adam when he invades China as part of his vendetta. This also involves confrontations with several American based superheroes, as the Chinese government was willing to go so far as to launch nuclear missiles if their territory was violated. This portion of the stand-off was ended when the Great Ten lost contact with Beijing, leaving August General in Iron with the authority to allow international help - against his own wishes.

Super Young Team
Seeing their powers as mainly cosmetic, the team never got involved in fights. They spent a lot of their time lounging in the metahuman clubs of Tokyo; to the elder Japanese superheroes, the team were prime examples of the younger generation's trivialization of their calling. While they'd done a few minor good deeds, Most Excellent Superbat was waiting for something that would make their name and establish their reputation.

Atomic Knights

Formed by Gardner Grayle, the Atomic Knights' original goal was to protect the displaced citizens of Blüdhaven from harassment by the agents of S.H.A.D.E.. Working with an organization called the Roundtable, they masqueraded as ordinary refugees. After Captain Atom destroyed Blüdhaven, they retreated to a lush underground bunker named Command-D.
