After Colony World

After almost two centuries of colonial expansion off the Earth, and after the Colonists were subjugated by the United Earth Sphere Alliance's military, a massive war arose across both Earth and Space in AC 195. In the aftermath of this massive conflict, the Alliance and their founders, the Rommefeller Foundation, were ousted from power and the world was united once more, wary of war and striving together for peace. The secret society OZ having been exposed and then destroyed, and the revolutionary group White Fang put to rest by the efforts of five Gundam Pilots, the Earth Sphere is finally ready to move forward, this time with both the people of Earth and Space striving to maintain the peace.

In the end of AC 0196, a new faction, armed with top of the line Mobile Suits, called the Mariemaia Faction, headed by the illegitimate daughter of OZ Leader and revolutionary figurehead, Treize Khushrenada, surfaced and attempted to once more plunge the world in the chaos of war, but were stopped once again by the appearance of Gundams. The true mastermind behind this revolution, Dekim Barton, was placed under arrest. The United Earth Sphere's Preventers were instrumental in disassembling the remains of the Mariemaia Faction, and once more keep pace in the After Colony Era.

The next step is the planned colonization of Mars, and the creation of a Mars Sphere.

Earth Sphere Unified Nation

Earth Sphere Unified Nation.

The Earth Sphere Unified Nation, or ESUN, was created in AC 195 out of a plan by the Romefeller Foundation to unite the world against the Colonies. The former leader of the Sanc Kingdom, Relena Peacecraft, was made the Queen of the Earth Sphere as a kind of figure head. Because of her skills as an orator she was able to become more than just a figure head in that her ideal of pacifism was shared by others of the Romefeller Foundation. After the death of Duke Dermail, Treize Khushrenada moved in and forced Queen Relena to give up her post as Queen and he moved in as her replacement, essentially becoming King of the Earth Sphere.

Preventers

The Preventers.

The Preventer is a top secret intelligence organization formed by the Earth Sphere Unified Nation, to prevent conflicts from escalating. Each Preventer agent is assigned a codename based on one of the classical elements. In A.C. 196, after the end of the Eve Wars and the founding of the Earth Sphere Unified Nation, the Preventer was created as an intelligence agency that answers directly to the ESUN President. The existence of the Preventer was highly classified, known only to the ESUN President and several key members of the government, since the existence of an armed peacekeeping force goes against the pacifist ideals of the ESUN.
The mission statement of the Preventer is the preservation of peace and prevention of conflicts in the Earth sphere. In order to accomplish this goal, the Preventer worked tirelessly to destroy excessive weapons (known as "kindling") and to stop large scale insurrections and terrorist activities (known as "fire disasters") before they start. Because of this, they are also referred to as the "Firefighters" (火消し). The organization was headquartered in Brussels, the capital of the ESUN. In addition, it controlled a lunar base, where at least one cruiser was stationed.

MO-V Colony

MO-V is a resource satellite, industrial colony, and space exploration outpost located at the edge of Lagrange Point 5.[1] It is the primary setting of New Mobile Report Gundam Wing Dual Story: G-Unit. It possesses a population of 100,000.
Though it was originally going to be a major port for extra-planetary travel, the untimely death of Mark Bernett has led to MO-V reorganizing its functions and to specialize in the manufacturing of mobile suits. Swayed by Lady Une's speeches to the colonies as part of OZ's effort to bring them into the fold, MO-V's leadership signs on almost immediately and decides to join them. However, its exact usefulness to OZ is debated until their reconnaissance learns that the colony has built powerful new prototype mobile suits called G-UNITs. Upon discovering this, the Romefeller Foundation orders the special forces group OZ Prize to capture the G-UNITs while forbidding any regular members of OZ from investigating. In the ensuing war, OZ Prize completely isolates the colony from the outside world by jamming all of MO-V's communication lines, embroiling it in a conflict for its very survival.

These factions are no longer active, and in fact their defeat was instrumental in bringing peace to the Earth Sphere, but their impact on the world and their legacy still carries through. As such, they are included here for reference.

Rommefeller & OZ

The Organization of the Zodiac, or OZ, is the military wing of the Romefeller Foundation, which came to the forefront in the waning years of the United Earth Sphere Alliance. OZ operated as a division of the Alliance Military and served as a form of Special Forces or black ops group. Officially, they were known as the Special Mobile Suit unit, more commonly known as "Specials". The original leader of OZ was General Chilias Catalonia, the son of Duke Dermail and the father of Dorothy Catalonia. He was replaced by Treize Khushrenada in AC 193 after he died in battle. OZ was finally deposed in AC 195.

A group of OZ soldiers who are as powerful as Zechs Merquise or Treize Khushrenada. They are a faction within OZ who desire the G-UNIT mobile suits for their own purposes and engage in a war of attrition against MO-V, laying siege to the colony in order to seize the Gundams.

White Fang

White Fang was a military terrorist organization in the After Colony timeline, dedicated to the liberation and freedom of the space colonies from control by the United Earth Sphere Alliance and OZ.

Gundam Pilots

Operation Meteor was the name given to the plot conceived by rebellious members of the space colonies as a form of retaliation for the assassination of the political leader Heero Yuy. Created as the brainchild of Dekim Barton and orchestrated by Quinze. With all five pilots accepting a modified plan of the operation selected by the Gundam Scientists, Operation Meteor proceeded ahead of the intended schedule.
On April 7, AC 195, Operation Meteor commenced: the five Gundams were each launched individually from separate space colonies, and descended to Earth disguised as shooting stars to carry out the operation in an albeit radically different form - refusing to let their creations be used as weapons of mass murder, the five Gundam Scientists informed their respective pilots to disregard the original operational plans, ignore orders sent by the Barton Foundation, and instead only target selected OZ installations rather than civilians. Once all five Gundams reached Earth, they proceeded to attack and destroy military bases, mobile suit factories, and active spaceports under the control of OZ and the Alliance.

Maganac Corps

Led by Rashid Kurama, they are often seen at Quatre Raberba Winner's side, who they refer to as "Master Quatre". Almost all the Maganac have the same mobile suit, but each of the squad leaders have their own personalized touches, the most notable being Rashid's wing-shaped antenna atop his suit's head.

Mariemaia Army

A revolutionary army led by the daughter of the deceased Treize Kushrenada, and the financial powerhouse, Dekim Barton, using top of the line and as of yet unproduced Organization of the Zodiac MS, the Serpent Customs, they attacked on the year anniversary of the first declared Peace in the AC Earth Sphere. Asgard, having been responsible for the loss of their Gundams, assisted that world, and their Gundams managed to defeat the Mariemaia army without a single casualty, proving that the Endless Waltz of war, complacency and peace was never the answer.
