When calling these people 'Super-Heroes' and/or 'Super-Villains', or even a 'Team' doesn't apply.

Spirits of Vengeance

An aspect of the Presence, the Spectre is His Vengeance. After creation, there was a rebellion and many of Presence's angels were cast from him for their actions. When the angel Raguel/Aztar, who rebelled with Lucifer, repented of his sins, The Presence had the angel stripped of his memories prior and he becomes the incarnation of His wrath, set to deliver Divine Justice and Vengeance for the murdered dead and those who sin against God as penance for its actions. The Spectre was created to replace the being Eclipso, the Spirit of Gods Revenge who was no longer suitable to be the Wrath. The Spectre is the one who is "responsible" for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, as well as the ten plagues of Egypt, splitting the Red Sea, and tumbling the walls of Jericho. When The Godhead took human form, it was determined that Compassion and Redemption (that which Jesus represented) could not walk the Earth at the same time as Wrath and Vengeance, and The Spectre entity was cast into limbo where remained until the crucifixion of Jesus. Following that, The Spectre burst forth in an event dubbed "Dies Irae" (Day of Wrath) by the Phantom Stranger and ripped through the world, casting divine vengeance on many people until the Archangel Michael informed the entity of the new "rules", and The Spectre must be bound with a human soul to walk the Earth again. The Spectre initially refused the command but had little choice in the matter.
Following "Dies Irae", and the creation of the new "rules" as dictated by The Presence, the Archangel Michael took the form of a Hindu deity and acquired the soul of a man named Caraka to be the first soul bound to The Spectre (a Christian was not chosen because Michael felt it would be too soon). Caraka found trouble in being The Spectre, as he had disrupted the natural cycle of things and caused his family (who had gone through various stages of reincarnation) grief. In the end, Caraka was separated from The Spectre again, and merged with the succubus Sekuba, to become Azmodus when he started to rebel against his mission. Over the ages, the Spectre would be merged with the souls of many men and women, taking as many forms, all of whom were haunted by Azmodus while performing the Spectre's mission of punishing the wicked.

Ghost Riders

The term "Spirits of Vengeance" can refer to both their hosts, otherwise known as the "Ghost Riders", and the Spirits themselves - benevolent spirits who have protected mankind since the ancient times. Their exact origins are a mystery, as some have claimed that they were the vestiges of "God's power" bonded to human hosts and calling themselves Ghost Riders, while others have claimed them to be demons in the service of Mephisto.[3] There have been different sorts of Spirits of Vengeance around the world based on each region's customs, beliefs, and religions. Keeping them under control was the archangel Zadkiel, whose sole purpose was to keep the Spirits' purportedly true origin a secret.
According to Sister Sara, the Caretaker, the Spirits of Vengeance were the divine wrath of God. Regardless of their muddled origins, their powers are "boundless" and "god-like" -- capable of doing incredible feats and competence as explained by Doctor Strange making them one of the strongest and most powerful supernatural entities to exist but are only limited due to the human host lack of imagination. The host itself acts as a "built-in safety lock" to prevent the Spirit from exacting its full potential. If the Spirit is controlling the Ghost Rider, the results would be biblically catastrophic and the human host can only influence the Spirit's decisions. If the host is in control, it would not be as powerful as the Spirit. Nevertheless, the Ghost Rider is still very powerful even in its weakest state.

The Crows

At our human limits, when we've gone as far as flesh and imagination can take us, we meet the Eternal One, The Crow. His alabaster delicate features tell of his ivory goddess ancestry. Immemorially old, and inconsolable, he is there only for those who seek both revenge and love and are willing to go all the way - and beyond. The eternal Power of The Crow is a force which enters into people who have been killed, their death usually happening along with a loved one. Due to their grief and sadness, not only over their own death, but also over being unable to save their loved one, their soul is unable to rest. At some point after their death the Power of The Crow enters into them, healing their wounds that caused their death, and undoing any embalming and decomposition that has taken place, and they are risen from the grave. The Crow then comes to them as a spirit guide, leading them towards what they must do to regain peace.
The Crow is usually an undead vigilante brought back to life by a supernatural crow to avenge his own death and that of a loved one. The character has subsequently appeared in several feature films, a television series, and spin-off novels. In the various incarnations, films, and spin-offs, many people have taken on the Crow persona in order to avenge their own wrongful deaths.

The Speed Force

The Speed Force has alternatively been described as the source of all speed, as a force generated by Barry Allen, as a godlike pseudo-intelligence, and as a sort of location or dimension that exists on another plane of reality. Regardless, it is the power source for the Flash.
All DC characters who are called "speedsters" are connected to the Speed Force regardless of the origin of their powers; it is said that when they die, speedsters become one with the Speed Force, something of a Valhalla for speedsters. That said, not every DC super-humans that can travel at high velocities is connected to the Speed Force, only the ones whose primary power is superhuman speed. For example, Superman, though he is very fast, has no connection to the Speed Force. The same holds true for the Green Lanterns, who can traverse the galaxy at incredible speeds. Additionally, characters who are explicitly stated to be mimicking super-speed without being speedsters themselves, such as Hunter Zolomon, who uses time manipulation to operate as the villain Zoom, are not connected to the Speed Force.
Max Mercury believed that it is Barry Allen himself who generates the Speed Force with every step that he runs. However, it was revealed that the Speed Force has always existed, and it's continual action of pushing the Multiverse forward builds up pressure between the barrier of time and space. As such, the Speed Force chooses conduits, like Barry, to act as "release valves." As a speedster runs, they relieve the pressure being built up and prevent hazardous rips in space time from occurring.

Negative Speed Force

Recently, in Flash: Rebirth, it was revealed that Professor Zoom created a 'Negative Speed Force' that eats away at the regular Speed Force like a cancer and can consume any speedster connected to it by touch. Professor Zoom himself is the engine that generates this Negative Speed Force with every step that he runs. He used it to infect Barry Allen in the hopes that the Negative Speed Force would consume Barry's loved ones and other speedsters who rely on it, consuming Barry in grief so that he'd merge with the Speed Force. Professor Zoom is currently being kept immobile in Iron Heights Penitentiary to prevent him from generating the Negative Speed Force. However, Hunter Zolomon (the most recent Zoom) is kept in the next cell, and believes working together they can be even more powerful, which may be bad news for both Central and Keystone Cities.

The Devil, Grendel

The Grendel lineage lasts hundreds of years, beginning with the sadistic genius Hunter Rose, continuing with his granddaughter Christine Spar, and moving to her boyfriend Brian Li Sung. From there the Grendel legacy would continue to change in meaning, becoming the literal embodiment of the Devil. Lasting hundreds of years and enduring many evolutions, this mantle would continue to be worn by others including Eppy Thatcher, Orion Assante, and Grendel Prime. It should be noted that two supernatural beings have claimed that Hunter Rose was not the first Grendel. However, it is also possible that they were lying.
