A World recovering from two major wars between the Earth and Space, this time fueled by a racist undertone, of genetically-enhanced Coordinators and Earth-born Naturals. After two major conflicts with millions of deaths, and the former PLANT Chairman Gilbert Durandal arrested for conspiring with an Alien Faction, peace has finally been, tentatively, reached after three years of conflict.
The Current Year is CE 0074.
Earth Alliance

The Earth Alliance was officially founded as a result of the Alaska Declaration on February 7, C.E. 70 - after the terrorist incident at Copernicus City - as the political entity representing the Natural populace. Unlike the Universal Century's Earth Federation, which was a relatively unified body, the Alliance is more of a loose international military coalition of entities that are often working at cross-purposes to each other: thus, it's not uncommon for each of the factions to withhold the key workings of their weapons and armor technologies with their erstwhile allies.

Blue Cosmos
Blue Cosmos is the most radical of the anti-Coordinator activist groups formed by resentful Naturals and is the dominant political force behind the Earth Alliance military within the Cosmic Era. According to the Blue Cosmos ideology, genetic modification is a violation of the natural order, and all Coordinators must be exterminated "for the preservation of our blue and pure world."
During the Second Alliance-PLANT War, it is increasingly revealed that Blue Cosmos is interconnected with a secretive military-industrial complex known as LOGOS which instigates conflicts to stir profits through their arms trade and other enterprises.

OMNI Enforcer

OMNI Enforcer (Oppose Militancy and Neutralize Invasion Enforcer) is the military force of the Earth Alliance in the Cosmic Era, and commonly referred to as the Earth Alliance Forces. Unlike ZAFT, the OMNI Enforcer is organized based on a traditional model.
OMNI Enforcer's space fleet is large and well-equipped, though their warships are slightly outdated compared to ZAFT's fleet. Their mobile weapons until the Battle of Porta Panama are primarily limited to the TS-MA2 Moebius mobile armor, a distinctly outdated design. Five Moebius MAs are required, on average, to engage a single ZGMF-1017 GINN with any significant chance of victory. At and after Porta Panama, the Alliance quickly replaces the Moebius with the GAT-01 Strike Dagger and related mobile suit models, redressing the balance and turning the tide against ZAFT.

OMNI Enforcer Military Force
Despite initial setbacks when creating Mobile Suits, after some testing and analyzing the Strike Gundam, OMNI Enforcer has managed to create Natural-use Mobile Suits, and have proliferated in the use of both Mass-Production MS and GUNDAMs.
Orb Union

Orb is a nation whose territory encompasses several islands to the east of New Guinea. The official name of the mainland is Yalafath, where the Orb capital, Olofat, is located. Despite its small size and lack of natural resources, Orb has considerable industrial and military power. This is due to an abundant supply of geothermal energy thanks to its numerous active volcanoes, access to advanced technology, and laws granting nondiscrimination to Coordinators, which causes several Coordinator scientists to live at Orb. In the past, it was a settlement to a large number of Japanese immigrants. The official language is Japanese. The Island nation itself controls its own Mass Driver, called "Kaguya", the space colony Heliopolis, which serves as a resource satellite, and also another space military satellite Ame-no-Mihashira. Because of Orb's relative political and economic stability and stance as a neutral nation, it is known as the "Land of Peace."

Orb Union Military
Despite being a peaceful nation, the Orb Union's Morgenroete corporation is responsible for creating Gundams, and the nation has been recognized as a technological and military power, both due to their status as neutral power, and to their acceptance of Coordinators and Naturals living together. As part of the Three Ships Alliance, the Orb Union has considerable power, less in numbers and more in specialized MS.

Archangel Crew
Based upon the Orb Space Fleet's Izumo-class battleship, the Archangel-class mobile assault ship was jointly developed by the Atlantic Federation of the Earth Alliance and Orb Union's Morgenröte. The first ship of the class, the LCAM-01XA Archangel, was created to support the five prototype mobile suits developed under the G Project, and during operations, it was meant to deploy the GAT-X102 Duel Gundam and GAT-X103 Buster Gundam, Lieutenant Mu La Flaga's TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero, and two TS-MA2 Moebius for defense, while the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam, GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam, and GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam took the battle to the enemy.
Besides the capacity to carry at least 8 mobile weapons, the Archangel-class is also an effective battleship, capable of confronting enemy warships and providing fire support to its mobile suit forces during combat. The ship is well-armed, with two "Lohengrin" positron blaster cannons, two "Gottfried" dual high-energy beam cannons, sixteen 75mm CIWS, two "Valiant" linear cannons, sixteen surface-to-air missile launchers, and twenty-four surface-to-ship missile launchers. This makes the class the most heavily armed warship of the Earth Alliance at that point in time, surpassing vessels such as the Nelson-class battleship and Agamemnon-class carrier. The Archangel-class also featured Laminated Armor, providing it better protection against beam weaponry, Ablative Gel dispensers for protection against the heat during atmospheric entry, and a number of multipurpose launchers for deploying flares, anti-beam depth charges, etc.
With the use of extensive automation, the Archangel-class can be operated even by a handful of crew members. In terms of operating environment, the Archangel-class can travel in space, in the air, and on water. After the First Alliance-PLANT War, the LCAM-01XA Archangel has the added ability to submerge and cruise underwater. Lastly, a tender vessel, the Cornelius-class was designed to specifically resupply Archangel-class ships.

Kusanagi Crew
The Kusanagi Corps was a military unit serving aboard the Izumo-class warship, the Kusanagi. Originally composed of the remnants of the Orb National Defense Force, the Kusanagi Corps acted independently of the nation following Orb’s surrender to the Earth Alliance in the aftermath of the Battle of Orb. Initially allied with the Archangel Corps, the unit later formed part of the Three Ships Alliance, and carried the bulk of the organization’s mobile suit forces. After the First Alliance-PLANT War and the reinstatement of the Orb Union’s sovereignty, the Kusanagi Corps was reintegrated into the Orb Military, and assigned to the Second Space Fleet.
During the First Alliance-PLANT War, the Kusanagi Corps was under the command of Cagalli Yula Athha, with Ledonir Kisaka serving as the Kusanagi’s captain. During the Second Alliance-PLANT War, Colonel Soga was appointed Captain of the Kusanagi.During the First Alliance-PLANT War, the Kusanagi Corp’s mobile suit forces were composed of ten MBF-M1 M1 Astrays, led by the M1 Astray Team, and later added the MBF-02 Strike Rouge. During the Second Alliance-PLANT War, the M1 Astrays were supplemented by the newer MVF-M11C Murasame.

Serpent Tail

Serpent Tail has always taken on a job by the highest payer, although they do refuse those that they are uncomfortable with. Using both Earth Alliance and ZAFT equipment to complete their jobs, this mercenary group boasts a nearly perfect job completion record. It has no government whatsoever, operating primarily in teams. Their leader is Combat Coordinator Gai Murakumo, who pilots one of the three Orb Astray prototypes - the MBF-P03 Gundam Astray Blue Frame and its upgrades - and is considered by many to be the deadliest warrior in the Earth Sphere. Gai's team operates from either a captured Laurasia-class frigate or an unmarked civilian freighter, with his subordinates consisting of fellow pilot Elijah Kiel, the ship's captain and intelligence operative Reed Wheeler, explosives expert and tactician Loretta Adja, and client liaison Kazahana Adja.

Junk Guild

The Junk Guild is an NGO devoted to the upkeep, maintenance, and salvage of the technology forming the infrastructure of Cosmic Era society. Thanks to the work of Reverend Malchio, the Junk Guild has non-aggression treaties with all three major factions (Earth Alliance, ZAFT and Orb Union) - any person or vessel that bears the emblem of the Junk Guild cannot be denied entry to any treaty signatory, as long as they obey the laws within (though they may be restricted as to where they may go - ZAFT, for example, does not allow Junk Guild members onto the PLANTs unless they are granted special permission.) The Junk Guild is rather decentralized - while there is an overseeing body that governs the Guild as a whole, most of the work is done by small teams of technicians who act independently.

Librarian Works

Librarian Works is an organization associated with the shadowy group known as "The Clan", and inherits its data after its collapse. Around C.E. 73, the group launches simultaneous attacks against Lowe Guele of the Junk Guild, Rondo Mina Sahaku of the Orb Union and the mercenary organisation Serpent Tail. In addition, they also target multiple Earth Alliance and ZAFT bases all across the world as well as the PLANTS. The organization has no interest in world domination, only acting according to their own unique set of values and aim to mass-produce the strongest MS pilot(s) in the world using their Carbon Human technology.
Their scale as an organization is unclear, but they have vast amount of data on Mobile Weapons developed to date, and detailed data on ace pilots, up to and including genetic material. Using this data, they strengthen and redesign existing MS for their own use and create Carbon Humans of the most highly skilled pilots - mostly, but not exclusively, of aces who were killed in battle. Because they possess data even beyond military levels, they have several MS which have been improved beyond what the major military powers of the Earth Sphere are capable of. The organization's headquarters is located on an asteroid.
The organisation was dismantled after its Supreme Leader, a Carbon Human clone of Prayer Reverie, and other members were defeated by Lowe, Gai and Canard Pars. The Librarian Works' Carbon Humans were later transported to Mars by the recommendation of Junk Guild.

The Clan
The Clan was a secret society whose purpose was to prevent the extinction of humanity and to achieve human prosperity through the manipulation of information. The existence of The Clan was a well-kept secret, even to the members of Logos. The Clan used information manipulation, both to prevent extinction-level wars and to create conflicts to control populations and neutralize perceived threats to its goals.
The Clan's stance towards humanity was one of absolute distrust. It believed that without its intervention, humanity would eventually become extinct, either from wars or from the endless pursuit of happiness. They also believed that a world without conflict would result in a society without happiness, as happiness cannot exist without misfortune. To that end, they would start wars by manipulating information. This also served to control the population, which gradually increased as science and technology advanced. Their modus operandi was guiding the world towards "optimization" through intelligence manipulation, thus ensuring the continued existence of humanity.
