Appearance

She dresses in a pale creamy yukata with green trimming and violet flowers scattered upon it. The outfit ends in a green skirt and she also wears green laced up boots with black lacey leggings underneath. Her yukata is tied with a green sash. She has twin kodachi on her back, as well as a matching unique green frail looking sashimi that she keeps with her at all times. Her hair is raven black with red streaks mixed in with the addition of thin red ropes weave through. Aside from the slight red eyeliner, she seems to never wear makeup. She also wears terrible looking metal gauntlets, Neko Te, which she tends to hide with the sleeves of her outfit.

Personality

Ayame is a caring individual who really feels for people she becomes close to, whether they are friend or even closer. She can be a little blunt at times with her words, saying what she feels is the truth. She has the mentality of do or don't, her views on what must be done skewed by how she was raised by her family, so she won't consider the righteousness or wrongness of a decision when she follows through with it on the spot, and likely not even come to regret it later at all. She'll do anything to protect her loved ones, even if it chances losing their friendship or affection later on.

Background

Ayame was born super early. Very early. After Kamen was born, Ayame ended up happening almost as soon as humanly possible in being conceived. Due to the early pregnancy, she ended up having complications and being born early; barely seven months! She sometimes shares the same age as her brother, which can come to the confusion of others, as they are not twins.

Due to being born early, she has come complications she has to put up with; shortness of breath and becoming quickly exhausted if she overexerts herself for prolonged periods of time. With this in mind, she has trained with weapons more than the clan usually does, using them to back herself up as she is unsure how she would do in a battle without them.

Still being relatively healthy aside from that, she grew up just fine, being close to both of her siblings, as she does not have a memory without them. She had almost stayed in the Koga's homeland all of her life, out of fear for how frail she can be sometimes, and due to the fact she is the second eldest and has been of age to be married off for some time now.

Special Abilities

• Ninjutsu: (忍術) The Arts of the Ninja, the 18 disciplines of the shinobi. Ayame grew up being taught this very thing by her trainer, Raiha. As such, she has superior athletic and physical abilities, incredible sneaking skills, the ability to shadow others, resistance to hanging upside down and several other advantages, such as breathing techniques, meditation, the ability to wear a personality like a second skin and immense concentration. The 18 Skills of the ninja is what Ayame has studied.
• Taijutsu: (体術) The Arts of the Body, the ninja 'Martial art'. Ayame has been trained in various forms of hand to hand combat by Raiha all her life, learning his specially forged combat technique, which takes from multiple schools of combat. This makes her able to switch from different types of melee attacks to defensive positions very quickly. Her specific style deals with quick strikes as well as a series of high speed kicks. She also has a series of throws she can perform as well, either from the ground or from the air.
• Utsusemi no Jutsu: The ninja substitution technique, taught to her by her father. It is the ability to subtitute yourself with a log, or any other available item, to trip an opponent's attack.
• Multiple Bodies Technique: Ayame learned this technique from her father, in which she makes 6 duplicates of herself, to move around at high speed and confuse the opponent. She usually masks his aura as best he can and moves around rapidly during this technique, making it harder for his opponents to spot him. These copies are illusionary, unable to affect or be affected by anything.

• • Izuna Drop: An airborne maneuver she knows, she is able to grab an opponent and drive them into the ground, sometimes spinning through the air as they hurtle downwards. She can do this by grabbing them and launching into the air, or intercepting them in mid-air. This ends with her slamming them into the ground and flipping off of them afterwards.
  • Suplex: Quickly grabbing onto her opponent from multiple stances or positions, she'll roll with them and use their own momentum to slam them into the ground.
  • Tatsumaki Rana: This is a head scissors take down that ends in a double leg cradle pinning hold. She jumps in the air, wrapping her legs around the opponent, holding onto them with her legs and flipping in the air to slam them onto their back, ending up sitting on their chest as she pins them to the ground. Ayame can perform this move on the ground or as an aerial dive.
    • Tatsumaki Suramu: This is the tatsumaki executed on an opponent with the difference that there is no pin. With Ayame's legs scissored around the opponent's head while they face each other, she a backflip to swing through the opponent's open legs, dragging the opponent into a forced somersault that distances Ayame from the opponent, who lands on his or her back.

Powers & Merits

Flame Master

Like Kamen and Irumi, Ayame has inherited the flame of the Koga family line. The flame is spiritual in nature and burns unnaturally hot, to the point where most normal fires can't compare to it. She can only control the flame while wearing a Tekkou, which are bindings she wears around her lower legs at all times.. If she removes these bindings, the flame will grow out of control and eventually consume her body unless she gets them replaced. This flame, however, grants her special ability. She is able to generate fire in her hand. Her flame spirit is in the shape of a robin.

• Superhuman Resistance to Fire and Heat: Ayame will burn much, much slower than she should. However, she is not immune to flame, not even her own, The advantage to this is that other mystical flame or flame-like attacks burn her much slower than they should, so a magical fireball will not hurt much.
• Flamethrower: She is able to shoot a burst of flame from her hands, much like an actual flamethrower.
• Fire Balls: She is able to launch short bursts of flame a short distance, up to thirty feet, before the flames lose their form and disperse.

Flame Coating

Ayame is unable to easily conjure her flame outside of her body. Instead, her fire empowers whatever she is holding, or burns it from the inside out. This gives her the ability to imbue her weapons with her unnatural flame, making it burn hotter while retaining it's full form as she fights.

Her steel swords are a perfect example from this; even if she raises the temperature to hotter than swords can naturally handle, the weapons she holds will not melt. On the other hand, if she tries to do this with an item inferior to certain types of metal, they will either melt or burst into flame, such as wood or weak metals.

This said, if she uses her flame on her swords and press the swords against another type of metal, she can use the swords to 'cut through' something. But, if she doesn't want to preserve the item she is holding, she can simply raise the temperature inside of it until it can't handle it and breaks down.

While she is unable to heat items from a distance, she can heat up a shuriken and make it reach peak heat and then throw it at an enemy or object. The object will lose its heat as it flies, cooling down only as fast as an item would from such extreme temperatures.

Unique Items

• Tekkou: Cloth bandages specifically made for Ayame, they wrap around her feet, covered by the leggings she usually wears. These cloth bindings help her control her flame power.

• Shamisen: Something she just keeps with her at all times, it is a guitar she plays when she wants to make herself feel better.
• Twin Kodachi: She carries two ninja blades on her back, which she is able to quickly draw to fight with if needed. They are normal steel kodachi made in Japan. She normally fights single wield, but will draw the other blade to quickly dual wield in the event of an emergency.
• Short Bow: She also carries with her a bow with a quiver of arrows. The bow has been made to drip a resin onto the tip of her arrows as she knocks them, so that she may ignite the tip into flame as she fires, thus saving on resources for flame arrows, and allowing her to hit her enemies with heated tips of flame.
• Kanzashi Hair Ornaments: Hair pins to help decorate her hair, in most cases her twin tails, these are actually hidden ninja weapons, which she can grab to quickly attempt to stab someone in close range.
• Neko Te: These gruesome armaments are a weapon among female ninja. They are metal gauntlets worn on the hands, giving the wielder sharp claws, as well as spikes usually on the back of the hand for quick, unpredictable movement. These are used to preferrably maim the opponent's face, or dig into body parts, such as the neck or stomach.
• Ayame's Gear: She has always been prepared to defend herself since she was young. These items are stored in a pouch hidden upon her body.

• • Lockpicking Tools
  • Shuriken: She carries about thirty of these on her. These are used for self defense when someone rushes at her.
  • Kunai: She carries about twenty of these on her.
  • Metsubishi/Smoke Dispensers: The modern ninja eggshell bomb, used to either obscure vision or blind an opponent if thrown right into their eyes.
  • Rope: A small length of rope.
  • Rhubarb Leaf Poison: A poison made from the leaf of rhubarb, this poison is capable of killing a human if introduced to their body, usually attacking their kidneys once spread through the blood system. She tends to coat her thrown weapons with these, as well as her Neko Te.
  • Manriki-Gusari: Two small metal sticks attached by a chain. This easily fits into one of her hands, able to be concealed on scrutiny. This weapon is good for lashing out at someone a few feet away, or trying to detail someone's legs or arms with the chain, if not outright strangulation.

Weaknesses & Flaws

• Tekkou: If the Tekkou are removed from her body, she can likely die. She will be unable to summon her flame safely without hurting herself, and her body temperature will gradually rise until she self combusts and dies. She needs the Tekkou to live.
• Love Problems: She wants to be loved, more than anything. This chemical imbalance in her head makes her a little unstable when it comes to love and affection. If someone were to tell her they liked or love her, she might get the wrong impression and act on these impulses.
• Semi-Weak Heart: She has breathing problems at some times, which leads to her becoming easily overexerted if she pushes herself for too long. Also gives her slight complications while trying to sleep.
