Role: Primary Combat & Rapid Response: X-Division Blue serves as the frontline military force of New Tian. They are the first responders to external threats, internal crises, and large-scale engagements. Blue operates as a highly visible symbol of New Tian’s strength and readiness. Composed of well-balanced combatants with complementary abilities, the division emphasizes coordination, adaptability, and decisive engagement. Blue teams are often deployed via Asylum’s teleportation network for immediate response anywhere on the island—or beyond.

X-Division Green

Role: External Destabilization, Irregular Warfare & Mutant Supremacy Operations: X-Division Green operates beyond the borders of New Tian as its most politically volatile and ideologically aggressive division. Comprised largely of former Brotherhood-affiliated mutants, Green specializes in irregular warfare, insurgency support, and the destabilization of hostile human institutions. Unlike X-Division Black, which prioritizes subtlety and precision, Green embraces visibility when it serves a purpose. Their operations are designed to send messages—whether through sabotage, targeted di sruption, or the empowerment of mutant populations outside New Tian’s borders. Green is often deployed in regions where mutants are oppressed, acting as liberators, instigators, or weapons of escalation depending on the High Council’s directive.

X-Division Steel

Role: Special Operations, Cyberwarfare & Extreme Threat Response: X-Division Steel represents New Tian’s most technologically integrated and tactically specialized unit. Formed from former Cyberdata SHOCs and enhanced operatives, Steel handles threats that require precision, augmentation, and overwhelming tactical superiority. They are deployed against high-risk targets: rogue bio-weapons, advanced technology threats, or enemies capable of challenging entire divisions. Steel also oversees cyberwarfare, infrastructure defense, and integration between mutant abilities and advanced systems. Where Blue is adaptable and Green is forceful, Steel is surgical.

Role: Intelligence, Espionage & Covert Operations: X-Division Black operates in the shadows, handling intelligence gathering, infiltration, sabotage, and targeted eliminations when deemed necessary by the High Council. Members of Black are selected for discretion, psychological resilience, and powers suited to stealth or manipulation. They are often deployed beyond New Tian’s borders, acting as the nation’s unseen hand in global affairs. While officially unacknowledged, their actions are critical to maintaining New Tian’s strategic advantage.

X-Division Red

Role: Crisis Response, Heavy Impact & Uncontrolled Threat Management: X-Division Red is deployed when situations exceed conventional control—rampaging mutants, environmental collapse, or battlefield conditions where survival outweighs precision. The division prioritizes endurance, raw power, and adaptability under extreme pressure. Red is not expected to operate cleanly. They are expected to hold, endure, and outlast.

Role: Tactical Assault, Enhanced Warfare & Precision Engagement: X-Division Gold represents New Tian’s most disciplined and structured combat unit outside of traditional command hierarchy. Comprised largely of engineered or enhanced operatives, Gold specializes in coordinated strikes, high-efficiency combat, and sustained operations against organized threats. Where Red is chaotic, Gold is controlled.

New Tian Self-Defense Force

Role: Internal Security, Civil Protection & Territorial Defense: The New Tian Self-Defense Force (NTSDF) serves as the primary internal security and civil protection organization of the island. Operating under the leadership of Warbuk, the NTSDF is responsible for maintaining order, safeguarding civilians, and ensuring the stability of New Tian’s day-to-day operations. Unlike the X-Divisions, which function as specialized and often elite strike teams, the Self-Defense Force is structured as a standing, professional force composed of a wide range of mutants—many of whom possess low-level, non-combat, or highly situational abilities. The NTSDF represents the “normal” face of authority within New Tian, interacting directly with its citizens and forming the first line of response to most incidents.

Organizational Structure

The Self-Defense Force is divided into several operational branches, each tasked with a specific aspect of internal security:

Security Patrol Units – Maintain public order, respond to disturbances, and enforce the laws of New Tian across civilian districts
Rapid Containment Teams – Specialized units trained to respond to mutant power incidents, including loss-of-control scenarios
Perimeter Defense Units – Guard the borders of New Tian, including the Halo Coast and restricted zones
Intelligence & Surveillance – Led by Menlove, responsible for internal monitoring and early threat detection
Training & Discipline Division – Overseen by Warbuk, ensuring all personnel meet operational standards

Operational Duties

The NTSDF is responsible for the majority of security-related functions within New Tian:

Enforcement of the Three Laws
Civilian protection and emergency response
Containment of unstable or newly arrived mutants
Border security and checkpoint control
Coordination with X-Divisions during large-scale incidents

While they defer to the X-Divisions in matters of extreme threat, the Self-Defense Force is expected to stabilize situations long enough for escalation if required.
