Special Abilities

Yagyu-Ryuu Kenjutsu: The Familial Style of Kenjutsu, passed down through the Yagyu Family of Samurai since time immemorial. The style is focused on drawn sword combat, without the use of a second sword. Once drawn, the Yagyu-Ryuu sword is usually kept from the saya. The strength of the Yagyu-Ryuu sword is based on speed and power, with every slash aiming to cross as much distance, deliver as much strength and move as fast as it possibly can.

• Zantetsuken - Gakai: The most basic form of Yagyu-Ryuu. Once drawn, the sword is held up, then Genjuru lunges at high speeds at the opponent. When in range, he slashes down with incredible force, in a diagonal, high speed/high power strike, meant to take down the opponents in a single blow, slashing into them diagonally.
  
• Zantetsuken - Raikou Giri: Once more, with the drawn sword, at a diagonal angle this time, Genjuro lunges at the opponent, then, at the moment of impact, he transfers all his speed and strength into a near-instant, lightning speed dual slash in a cross pattern, first slashing from crotch to neck and then across the chest. This attack is meant to destabilize defense and, assuming the opponent survives, disrupt their positioning.
  
• Zantetsuken - Unyo no Tachi: Genjuro readies the sword, then launches himself in the air with incredible force. Then, in the air, he redirects his attack down onto his target and brings the full force of both his ascending, and then descending momentum down into Zantetsuken, intending to slash through the opponent from top to bottom. This attack causes a strong impact on the ground where it hits, so there is a residual shockwave eruption on contact. - "Zantetsuken, Unyo no Tachi.. Itto Ryoudan!!"
• Zantetsuken - Ichimonjigiri: A simple but efficient attack, where Genjuro lunges forward and then holds out the sword to his side, before immediately moving to slash through the opponent.. or opponents.. horizontally, moving with his full power and trying to cleave them in twain.
  
• Zantetsuken - Kaze, Arashi, Tatsumaki: Genjuro's strongest technique, which requires the power of Zenki. Channeling the youki from the arm of Zenki, Genjuro cause the wind to rise around him and into his blade, and when he swings, a growing wind forms around his blade. By the time the strike reaches its apogee, Genjuro is riding the wave of power, spinning his sword around him at incredible speeds, and unleashing a hurricane of youki-powered hurricane winds that attempt to slash through his targeted opponent from all angles, possibly launching them into the air and sending them crashing down to the ground. Genjuro needs a moment after this to recover, however. - "Zantetsuken.. Ikki Tousen!!"

Youki Ken: Using the power of Zenki to increase the power of his strikes, Genjuro strikes like a demon, hurting them with their own energy.

Powers & Merits

Arm of Zenki: The arm of the Demon Assassin, Zenki. Due to its supernatural nature, it allows Genjuro access to powers and abilities that a normal man do not, as well as powers and enables certain abilities built into his arm. Furthermore, the arm itself is heavily armored, which serves as a shield, if Genjuro needs to brace himself or block an attack, in the same vein that a demon's might allows them to withstand blows, with Zenki's demonic essence powering the armor pieces. The biggest advantage that Zenki's arm gives Genjuro, though, is that he can focus his own inner chi through the arm, allowing him to use demonic Youki, which can make his mundane weapons.. or Zantetsuken.. more efficient against demons, hurting them with their own power, as well as greatly enhancing his physical power and surpassing human limitations.
Chain Spike: From under his wrist, Genjuro can fire a spiked hook that can open and close to grapple onto any suitable target. Basically anything softer than steel, including people. From there, with a flick of his wrist, he can retract the chain and yank himself to his target, which allows Genjuro some fairly impressive athletic feats, as well as hoisting himself up over walls or onto a rooftop.

• Yattekiru: Genjuro can also use this on a human target, and bracing himself, can yank them right back to him where he can slash them at his leisure, as well as of course, the damage of being speared into by this chain.
• Chain Weapon: Obviously, he can use this as a chain weapon as well, especially in close range.

Youki no Yoroi: Channeling Zenki's phenomenal demon power, Genjuro's arm can solidify and become practically unbreakable, as well as diminishing damage to his body, letting him soak damage from even very powerful opponents, or other demons. Adding to Genjuro's already noteworthy might, this makes him incredibly resilient when he gets ready.

Unique Items

Zantetsuken: The Steel-Cleaving Sword. Forged by a legendary swordmaster, folded over 1000 times, using both traditional artisan skills and modern Western technologies, with the heated metal cooled in the blood of demons. A priest then blessed the blade to keep the negative impact of the demon blood to curse it, before the finishing touches were put on it. By all known standards, the blade is unbreakable, and never needs to be sharpened. Rumors say it feeds off demon blood, but it doesn't. The true power of this sword is that it lives up to its name. It can cleave through steel, and is so resilient it can survive special techniques, even by higher beings, such as demons or possibly even divinities, allowing its wielder to deliver massive damage. It is an O-Katana, made more for brutal combat, and not so much Iai Jutsu.
