Veda, their namesake and Logo.

Vedas is a clandestine multiversal organization formed by Beside Pain and Ribbons Almark, two enigmatic figures with a shared vision of reshaping the course of history across multiple Gundam universes. Drawing upon advanced technology and genetic engineering, they have engineered clones of renowned Gundam pilots and antagonists from various Gundam series, each chosen for their exceptional skills, strategic prowess, or ideological alignment.

Purpose

Vedas operates with a multifaceted agenda aimed at subverting existing power structures, destabilizing governments, and ultimately reshaping the future of each Gundam universe they infiltrate. Utilizing their cloned Gundam pilots and antagonists, they seek to orchestrate events to their advantage, exploiting conflicts and manipulating key figures to further their own goals. The group employs a combination of covert operations, strategic manipulation, and advanced technology to achieve their objectives. Their cloned pilots are deployed with precision, engaging in both direct combat and subtle machinations to sow discord and further Vedas' agenda. Additionally, they utilize espionage, sabotage, and infiltration tactics to infiltrate and undermine opposing factions.
Vedas' ultimate goal is to establish dominance and control over the multiverse, reshaping it according to their own vision of order and power. By manipulating key events and individuals across multiple Gundam universes, they seek to shape the course of history to ensure their ascendancy and perpetuate their influence for generations to come. Despite their advanced technology and strategic acumen, Vedas faces formidable challenges from rival factions, especially the Space Station Asgard, and unforeseen variables inherent in their multiversal ambitions. The unpredictable nature of the Gundam-type universes, coupled with the resilience of their adversaries, presents constant obstacles that must be overcome through cunning, adaptability, and sheer force of will.
Vedas' actions reverberate across the multiverse, leaving a trail of chaos, destruction, and uncertainty in their wake. Their influence extends far beyond the battlefield, shaping the destinies of worlds and civilizations in ways both subtle and profound. Whether they will ultimately succeed in their quest for dominion or fall victim to their own ambitions remains to be seen, but their legacy will endure as a testament to the enduring power of ambition and the consequences of playing with forces beyond mortal comprehension.

Librarian Works

Librarian Works.

Librarian Works is an organization associated with the shadowy group known as "The Clan", and inherits its data after its collapse. Around C.E. 73, the group launches simultaneous attacks against Lowe Guele of the Junk Guild, Rondo Mina Sahaku of the Orb Union and the mercenary organisation Serpent Tail. In addition, they also target multiple Earth Alliance and ZAFT bases all across the world as well as the PLANTS. The organization has no interest in world domination, only acting according to their own unique set of values and aim to mass-produce the strongest MS pilot(s) in the world using their Carbon Human technology.

New Titans

Remember The Titans.

The Titans were an elite autonomous counter-insurgency group whose purpose was to hunt down the remnant groups of the former Principality of Zeon and any other anti-Earth Federation organization. The Titan ranks were primarily made up of pro-Earthnoid soldiers, most of whom harbored heavy anti-Spacenoid sentiments and were known to use muscle and intimidation tactics to enforce their ranks, even against civilians, fellow Federal soldiers, and lesser Titans officers. Due to the importance of the Titans among the original members of Unsichtbar, and the alliance with New Desides, Ribbons and Beside continued their ruse of using legendary Federation Ace, Amuro Ray, to gather remaining Titans loyalists, and using the genetic templates of the New Desides members. With the original Yazan Gable, the Vedas have decided to use the legacy and imagery of the Titans to oppose their opponents, as well as carry weight and fear in the Universal Century World.
Unlike most of the other pilots under the flag of the Vedas, the New Titans are all 'real', except for the New Desides members. Yazan Gable has survived his conflicts with The AEUG, the Shangri-La children, and the Space Station Asgard, and has earned his place among the elite pilots in the Vedas. The others were convinced to join them in order to retake their place on top of the Universal Century's pecking order, believing in the Titans' cause of preventing another Spacenoid war, considering they were warned of yet another Sleeves plot after the Laplace Incident of UC 0096, aware that Mineva Lao Zabi, for all her talks of peace, is allied with Asgard.

New Desides

New Desides.

A group of new Titans from the Pezun Asteroid, in the Universal Century, equipped with top of the line Mobile Suit technology, who had declared themselves independent of the Earth Federation, under the leadership of Brave Cod. Their goal was to return the Earth Sphere to Titan Control, and they had subjugated their entire colony to do so. Maintaining ties to the Titans Leader, Paptimus Scirocco, now the White Testament, forced them into conflict with Asgard, and they were all killed for their attempts at global terrorism and their use of a new Superweapon.
The reason New Desides' members' brain patterns were copied is because while they were working with Unsichtbar, Krelian and the White Testament were making plans to transfer their brains into M-Class Gears. They had volunteered as at the time, they were trying to match the ALICE system and were deceived into thinking the Solarian scientist, under the leadership of Paptimus Scirocco, the leader of the Titans, their benefactor, would copy their brain patterns into their attempts are replicating the ALICE system. They were wrong. However, with VEDA's access to the Solarian computers, and Krelian's nanomachines, they were able to transfer their minds into newly grown clone bodies.

Innovades

The Innovades are living bio terminals created by Celestial Being to help Veda implement Aeolia's Plan into its many phases. The exact time when the Innovades were first created is not yet known; however, their existence into human society dates back up to 2185 AD. They are created using a set of genetic templates gathered from various human donors. The templates are marked with numbers, with examples being Ribbons Almark's 0026 and Tieria Erde's 0988. Veda assigned different tasks to different Innovades; some Innovades are sent to different kinds of missions, actively completing the tasks Veda has sent them to do, while others are integrated to live in human society in order to monitor and understand humanity. Though most of them are clueless of what they really are, Innovades know of Aeolia's Plan and exist as beings who carry it out.
In general, the Innovades are supposed to help humanity set out to space and evolve into Innovators; through their exceptional abilities, the Innovades are to act as a bridge to lessen the tensions that will be brought up by space colonization and by the Innovation that humanity will face in the future. This will also prepare humanity for the expected dialogues with other life forms in space. The Combat Type Innovades (also known as Meister Type Innovades) are mainly known for their aptitudes to be mobile suit pilots. They have a good sense of battle intuition and have a great set of reflexes during combat. They also show better physical capabilities than humans. These Innovades are normally to pilot mobile suit units; in Aeolia's Plan, they are assigned by Veda as potential Gundam Meisters. Examples of Combat Type Innovades are Ribbons Almark, Tieria Erde, Grave Violento, and many others.
The Intelligence Gathering Type Innovades on the other hand, are Innovades who specialized in gathering informantion rather than battling. They are usually sent out as spies to gather intel and data about enemy forces. Aside from being assigned to espionage missions by Veda, most of these Innovades are also integrated in human society, living normal life and unaware of what they really are. The Innovades' actions are being monitored by Veda and are used for the purpose of Aeolia's Plan. Because the Innovades don't age, they usually only last in human society for around 10 years, after which they are recalled by Veda, although there are exceptions. They are later implanted with new personalities when they are sent out for their new mission within society again. Among the Innovades of this type are Anew Returner, Regene Regetta, and so on.

Clone Troopers

Drawing upon advanced technology and genetic engineering, they have engineered clones of renowned Gundam pilots and antagonists from various Gundam-linked worlds, each chosen for their exceptional skills, strategic prowess, or ideological alignment. Using the technology from VEDA, they were able to upload the consciousness of various pilots associated with Unsichtbar into their clone bodies, with limited Quantum Brainwave capabilities. The clones (except one) are technically Innovade-type bodies for the pilots to inhabit, shaped like their old forms. The consciousness of the OZ Prize members is because of their exposure to the PX System, and is a duplicate of their brainwaves installed in the new bodies. The Frost Brothers and Rau Le Creuset, however, were recreated by having their psychic 'ghosts' led into their new bodies via Quantum Brainwaves, making them the same as the original, and Rau the only Testament to undergo this process. The White Testament, Paptimus Scirocco, was kept out of this process, due to his likelihood of attempting to take over the Vedas, and the lack of his genetic template, as he was originally a Gnosis.

  • Ali al-Saachez Clone: Modeled after the infamous mercenary and antagonist from the Anno Domini World, known for his ruthlessness and combat proficiency. His consciousness was downloaded from the use of VEDA-assisted Mobile Suits like the Throne Zwei and the Jagd Arche Gundam.
  • Shagia and Olba Frost Clones: Based on the Frost brothers from the After War World, these clones possess the cunning and determination that characterized their originals. Their nature as Category Fs have led them back to these new bodies.
  • Rau Le Creuset Clone: Inspired by the enigmatic and manipulative antagonist from the Cosmic Era World, known for his intricate schemes and deep understanding of human nature. His clone is technically the body of Rey Za Burrel, and not his original clone body.
  • OZ Prize Clones: Clones of members of the elite mobile suit team OZ Prize from the After Colony World, skilled pilots with a history of challenging the protagonists. Their consciousness were taken from their use of the PX System, and are duplicates of their original personalities, lacking some of their memories.

Magicians 8

Magicians 8.

The Vagan X-Rounder unit "Magicians 8" was an eight-member battle group led by Dole Frost. Although the fellowship was tight, there was a strong sense of elitism, and there were many who directly disagreed with their superior, Zeheart Galette. They boarded the xvv-xcm Zedas M, which was designed for X-Rounders, and operated it together with the "Psycomet Mu-szell," which amplified X-Rounders' abilities, to maximize their capabilities. They first went into action during the "Battle of Big Ring," flying in formation of two to three machines. They demonstrated outstanding teamwork, and were successful in annihilating an entire squadron of Federation Force MS. However, during the battle against the Space Station Asgard, they were destroyed during Ezelcant's last ditch effort to destroy the Asgard Forces. However, their bio-patterns had been studied and copied by Ribbons Almark, and he used his Innovade technology to recreate them, using their X-Rounder abilities to re-link their souls, lost without gravity, to their new bodies.

Ship Crews

These are the crews of notable ships among the Vedas fleet.

Bellerophon Crew

A high-performance ship that has both sufficient mobile suit operation capability and high bombardment capability. The Ra Cailum-class has five two-barrel main beam turrets, twenty-two anti-aircraft guns, and six missile launchers. It also has eight engines and a pair of cooling fins to help improve fuel consumption and increase speed. It has two bridges, a regular bridge and a combat bridge that also serves as an escape pod. It has a catapult for launching mobile suits on each side of the ship, and a deck for landing at the rear. In the U.C. 150's, modernization and upgrades such as equipping the bow with a beam shield have been carried out.

Bull Run Crew

Despite the superiority of mobile suit based combat, the Federation's engineers were not about to give up on Magellan-class battleships just yet. Between the end of the One Year War and the Federation's naval review in November of U.C.0083, the Magellan-class battleships underwent an overhaul and refit. All the twin machine guns were replaced with laser guns which seemed to fire at a slower rate but stood a better chance of killing an opponent should the attack hit. Despite being a more powerful and efficient battleship, the Magellan Kai-class was still an ineffective weapon against small and agile fighters such as mobile suits, nor did they have the ability to properly carry mobile suits outside of strapping them to their hulls.

The Girty Lue-class is a space-use battleship designed by the Earth Alliance for use in special/covert operations. Following the Archangel-class' design concept, the Girty Lue-class has excellent mobile suit deployment capability and can carry a high number of them. Although it doesn't feature a wide variety of weapons, the Girty Lue-class is nevertheless well armed and can hold itself against ZAFT's Minerva. Its armament consists of 6 dual-barrelled beam cannons, 38 missile launchers, and 16 CIWS. The ship's main feature is its ability to launch covert attacks on enemy units by use of its Mirage Colloid stealth system. This is shown when it managed to approach a military-use PLANT unnoticed. However, the system is illegal under the terms of the Junius Treaty. To operate for extended periods of time, this ship class can mount arms that hold additional, ejectable fuel tanks.

Vedas Technology

Crossgate Technology: Balmarian technology adapted to universal and pan-dimensional travel due to Vector's UMN, Crossgate Technology allows its users to travel to almost anywhere in any universe, provided data can be accessed, and with the UMN, it can. Proliferation of said technology is the basis being Asgard's formation.
GN Drive Tau: GN Drive Taus (or pseudo solar furnaces) are imitations of real GN Drives and while they are able to perform the same functions as real GN Drives, they are incapable of semi-perpetual energy generation or storage because they lack TD Blankets, a component relevant to GN particle generation and utilization. The GN particle energies that derive from such drives disperse orange-reddish hues. The earlier Tau Drives that appeared in A.D. 2307 produced GN Particles that are optimized for beam weaponry but produced a toxic form of the particles when exposed to high concentrations of it in beam weapons.

  • Trans-Am System: When Trans-Am is activated, the GN Drive operates at full power by releasing all of the stored particles and increasing the GN Drive operation rate to its maximum output. From this, it is speculated that suits equipped with Trans-Am system have extreme high speed and maneuverability, along with unlimited bursts of accelerations. This improves the MS's defense and at the same time, increases the amount of thrust produced. Overall, Trans-Am increases the suit's speed, attack and defense by 3 times its normal specifications.

Machine Cells: Machine Cells are self-replicating, self-regenerating nanomachines. If injected into an organic body, Machine Cells extend its longevity by a large factor. These nanomachines can also be injected into technological matter, enhancing and transforming them into more powerful machines, along with the ability to regenerate damaged mechanical parts. The Thrudgelmir is one mecha that is infused with Machine Cells. Vedas do not have the ability to manufacture more Machine Cells, and have had to use them to reconstruct some of their lost technology, including a fully functional VEDA of their own. Due to this, they cannot benefit from Machine Cells for regeneration.
Minovsky Particles: The main use of the Minovsky particle was in combat and communication. When the Minovsky particle is spread in large numbers in the open air or in open space, the particles disrupt low-frequency electromagnetic radiation, such as microwaves and radio waves. Because of the way Minovsky particles react with other types of radiation, radar systems and long-range wireless communication systems become useless, infra-red signals are defracted and their accuracy decreases, and visible light is fogged. This became known as the "Minovsky Effect".

  • Minovsky Craft: Since it is made up of charged particles, the I-field is unable to penetrate metal, water, the Earth's surface, or other electrically conductive materials and can be shaped simply by trapping it in an electromagnetic field. Thus, at low altitudes it is possible to generate an I-field cushion between the underside of a vessel and the ground, yielding a gravity-countering buoyancy. This principle is used in the creation of the Minovsky craft system, which allowed a spaceship or heavy ground vehicle to "fly"/hover on Earth.
  • I-Field: An I-field is used to to deflect enemy mega particle beams. When the generator is activated, the I-field forms an invisible barrier around the mobile weapon, protecting it from incoming beam attacks. However, this barrier has no effect against solid objects like missiles and projectiles, and beam weapons can still be used at point blank range within the barrier's boundary.

VEDA Beta: Veda is a powerful artificial superintelligence (A.S.I.) construct based on real developing technologies of quantum processing. Veda is interlinked throughout all of Celestial Being's computers, including the Gundams. The Gundams themselves possess an operating system that's interlinked with Veda for support in tactical adaptation and mobile suit combat. The A.I. system routinely searches the world and discreetly recruit agents into Celestial Being and actively monitors the world for sources of conflict. All missions have always been required to be approved by Veda and the Gundams themselves are interlinked with the system.
Regarding member selection: It's unclear how Veda screens and evaluates candidates for recruitment into Celestial Being. However, the vast majority (if not all) of the people who ever joined Celestial Being were chosen by Veda. Veda somehow noticed very specific people and entrusted to them the secrecy of Celestial Being and its objectives. From the Gundam Meisters to the crew members of the Ptolemaios and even Celestial Being's agents, they were all chosen by Veda for specific qualities that they possessed. However, Veda apparently does not calculate personalities and teamwork between these individuals into the equation, as the Gundam Meisters have demonstrated a penchant for bickering, and have even gone so far as to pulling guns on each other and threatening to kill each other on several occasions.
In terms of capabilities: Veda is linked to the world's net, capable of absorbing a vast amount of data. It's unclear if Veda is capable of hacking since other Celestial Being members hacked for info; Veda is known to have classified government information. It is unknown whether the information was given by Celestial Being observers, done by itself or a combination of both. Its internetwork systems are no different than modern internet LAN systems, but on more complex scales. While Veda is technically a network system of many terminals of different size and importance, it possesses several large core terminals that are important to the network. Veda can communicate with the Haros of Celestial Being, but it is unclear whether Veda has influence or merely communicates with them; it would explain the Haros' ability to perform complex tasks and reflective thoughts to the Meisters. Veda's systems are linked with the Gundams, providing tactical support as well as remote control of the Gundams. Due to its use of an advanced quantum communications system, distance is mostly irrelevant for Veda, with its main terminal shown to be able to monitor the GN Drives on Earth while it is located on the dark side of the moon. This means Veda could be present anywhere at any time.
Although Veda is an all-powerful A.I. construct, it's still just an advanced operating system. Like all software, it can be altered or controlled. Veda has seven levels of security access, with observers having level 3 clearance and Sumeragi Lee Noriega having level 4 clearance. Ribbons Almark was capable of bypassing all of them, allowing him to access top-level confidential data, including the true identity of the Gundam Meisters, Celestial Being mobile suit designs, and information on the GN Drive. Veda has also been manipulated with certain commands that affect all operations of Celestial Being. However, according to Hanayo, Veda has some form of internal resistance to being controlled by others even when after its 7 layers of firewalls are breached. It can also conceal some of its activities from its "new owners".
There also exist several bio-terminals, called Innovades, that can telepathically connect with Veda through use of quantum brainwaves and GN particles as a catalyst. They can use this ability to great effect, like locating one of their own. When the Innovators connect to Veda, their eyes glow in a digital rainbow due. Veda is also capable of regenerating or clone any Innovade that is connected to it. An example was when Regene Regetta shot Ribbons Almark. After he shoots the fake Ribbons, another Ribbons appears to him serving as a distraction so that Ali al-Saachez can shoot Regene.
PX System: A special system used on G-UNIT mobile suits such as Geminass 01 and 02. The PX System has several features, such as relaying battle data to the pilot through a flip-on helmet when activated. The suit also changes to reflect the change in the pilot to yield better performance in combat. However there are several drawbacks, one of which being that the system can only run for 90 seconds. If this is exceeded there are serious consequences for both the pilot and the mobile suit as the PX System stretches both to their respective mental and physical limits, and in extreme cases it can even kill the user. Another noteworthy feature is that the PX System has two modes: normal and overdrive. Overdrive brings the system to the limits of its power, though only the pilot can turn off the system as it overrides all failsafes. Thus this allows it to last longer than 90 seconds but at great risk to the pilot's life.
Neutron Jammer Canceller: A device used to disable the effects of Neutron Jammers. When activated, nuclear fission becomes possible, and radio disturbance and the like will no longer occur. However, while the N-Jammers had a vast working area, the N-Jammer Cancellers only worked in a small area, which means, that any nuclear reactor or weapon intended to work under N-Jammer effect has to be outfitted with their own N-Jammer Canceller. To create N-Jammer Cancellers, a rare material is needed, which is controlled by PLANT and on Earth by the Atlantic Federation. On Mars however, this material exists in large amounts. This is, however kept a secret by its inhabitants to prevent any superpower from attacking them. The "G.U.N.D.A.M" acronym for Mobile Suits equipped with N-Jammer Cancellers is: Generation Unsubdued Nuclear Drive Assault Module.
Psycommu: Minovsky particles disrupted electromagnetic waves, rendering long-range communications and the use of guided weapons impossible under Minovsky interference. However, it was discovered that there was a pattern to the distortion effect that Minovsky particles had on electronic communications. By studying this pattern, it was determined that communication using Minovsky particles as medium was possible. Psycommu functioned by receiving and amplifying the psycho waves emitted by its user, then translating them into machine language. Since the source of the communication had to be psycho waves, it was difficult to use psycommu for conversations, as with standard communication systems. However, it could easily be used to transmit the user's "will" or "intention", such as aiming and firing a beam cannon. Strictly speaking, it was unclear whether psycho waves were transmitted through space or through resonance between devices.
Psycommu was initially used as the control system for remote attack terminals on mobile weapons. Two types of such weapons existed: wired type and wireless type. The wired type was notably usable even by those with low Newtype aptitudes. Some later Psycommu systems were used to assist in the control of the mobile weapon itself. Controlling Psycommu weapons places mental strain on the user, leading to symptoms such as headache after prolonged use. The strain is proportional to the operational complexity and number of the weapons. The MRX-010 Psycho Gundam Mk-II's Reflector Bits, for example, were said to place heavy mental strain on the pilot due to their complex controls.
As Psycommu technology advanced, numerous variants of the system with different or additional functions, such as Bio-Sensor, Psycho-Frame, and Bio Computer were developed. The development of Psycommu technology also led to the creation of a system that allowed normal humans to use wire-guided weaponry, the Quasi-Psycommu System. Psycommu-equipped mobile weapons are sometimes called "Psycho Machine".

Genetic Technology

Cloning Technology: The concept of cloning was first explored in the Universal Century, carried out by the Glemy Faction during the First Neo Zeon War. The process appears to be the same as traditional cloning, though it is never elaborated upon. Glemy Toto succeed in creating Ple Two, the very first clone to exist in the Gundam franchise, cloned from Newtype Elpeo Ple. The Second Neo Zeon Movement also carried out their own cloning in the form of Full Frontal, the first clone of Char Aznable. Unlike regular clones, he was created by different means; rather than be created from a genetic sample of Char, he was a human who was genetically altered to have Char's features (i.e. facial structure, blonde hair, blue eyes, voice) and memories, obtained via the Psycho-Frame of Char's final mobile suit, the MSN-04 Sazabi. To date no significant side effects from the cloning have resulted in the clones, though as some are transformed into Cyber Newtypes they suffer from psychiatric problems. As seen from the Ple "Sisters" the clones can sense their relation to one another, though as they were Newtypes, this could merely be Newtype reactions.
Innovades: The Innovades are living bio terminals created by Celestial Being to help Veda implement Aeolia's Plan into its many phases.
Coordinator: A Coordinator typically has a number of enhanced traits including faster learning, and stronger and faster bodies that are virtually immune to disease. The genetic modifications that create a Coordinator had to be performed in the earliest stages of embryonic development. The Coordinator embryo was then reinserted back into its mother for gestation. These genetic enhancements are then passed on to the Coordinator's children without the need for more enhancements. When Natural parents have had their child turned into a Coordinator, the child is described as a "first generation". On the other hand, those born from parents who are both Coordinators are called the "second generation", and those born from a union of a Coordinator and a Natural are categorized as "Half-Coordinators".
A potential flaw in the Coordinator creation process is a discrepancy between how a Coordinator fetus is intended to develop and how the child really turns out. In many cases, unwanted genetic traits would appear in the baby, arguably due to the inability of the mother's womb to pose as an adequate environment to support the genetic modifications. There are also rare cases of Coordinators who have defects in basic sensory functions due to complications in the genetic manipulation process and they require implants or external devices to compensate (e.g. Riika Sheder). It is this conflict of genetic traits that resulted in decreased birth rate of the "third generation" Coordinators and beyond.
Cyber Newtype: Cyber Newtypes (強化人間 Kyouka Ningen?, lit. "Enhanced Human") are a biotechnology from the Universal Century timeline. They are Newtypes created through artificial means. Cyber Newtypes receive various physical and mental enhancements, including organ transplants, biotechnological modifications, and chemicals that increase their reaction speed and radiation resistance. They are also subjected to extensive hypnotic conditioning, in which their personalities and memories are manipulated to make them into more effective soldiers. However, this process has the unfortunate side effect of rendering the Cyber Newtypes mentally unstable, with some even having personality disorders.
X-Rounder: "X-Rounders," as described by Grodek Ainoa during his conversation with Flit Asuno in A.G. 115, are humans who are able to use the "X-Region" of their brains. This usage of the X-Region allows X-Rounders to have increased spatial awareness and possess acute precognitive abilities, however the full potential of X-Rounder abilities are unknown. Moreover, their abilities allow X-Rounders to have an edge in mobile suit combat against normal humans.
However, it is shown that X-Rounders can lose control of their abilities when they push their abilities to maximum as displayed by Girard Spriggan in A.G. 164 during the battle of Luna Base. Although the full effects of this are unknown, it is shown that X-Rounders who lose control over their abilities have more potent powers. One example of this increased power is the ability to control all X-Rounder bit weaponry in the area regardless of whether the armament belongs to the user's unit or not.
Although X-Rounders possess heightened awareness and special abilities that normal humans do not possess, Fezarl Ezelcant asserts that X-Rounders are a regression of humans as the usage of the X-Region was only required in the natural environment of the survival of the fittest which existed before the creation of civilization. Furthermore, Ezelcant explains that X-Rounder instincts are comparable to animal instincts. Aside from their special abilities, X-Rounders appear identical to normal humans in both personality and physical traits.

Vedas Mecha Technology

Mobile Suits: Humanoid war machines, built to be as versatile as humans, for close quarters combat in a space where long range battle is a near impossibility. Mobile Suits are among the most versatile and adaptable designs out there, with every model built for a purpose, some mass produced, others unique in design and goals, and even some as testbeds of new and improved technology.

  • Gundam: The Icon. Through several worlds, the Gundam returns. Usually a top of the line Mobile Suit, Gundams have a reputation in many worlds, often times one of great renown. Gundams are designed to be adaptable and one-mecha armies, capable of taking on most challenges and coming out on top, with some built for balance and others hyper-specialized at what they do.
  • Mobile Armor: Giant machines using familiar MS systems on a larger or more mobile frame. These are usually either support weapons.. or superweapons. A Mobile Armor built for destruction can usually lay waste to a battlefield, and one built for support tends to work in coordination with other MS or Gundams.

Mobile Dolls: Developed by OZ's Colonel Tubarov, a loyal supporter of the Romefeller Foundation at OZ's Lunar Base, the Mobile Doll System uses a powerful computer system equipped in a mobile suit that allows it to act on its own without a human pilot. Through this method not only would it help prevent Romefeller from sacrificing the lives of their pilots, but it also would prevent them from using poorly skilled pilots in battle. The Mobile Dolls were deadly in battle, because they had faster reaction times than human pilots. However one of the Mobile Dolls chief opposers was OZ's leader Treize Khushrenada who felt that the Mobile Doll system would make humans unnecessary for battle, and therefore render battles useless. After the White Fang seized control of the Lunar Base, the modified ZERO System that the White Fang leader Zechs Merquise had developed allowed Dorothy Catalonia to employ the system in controlling the Virgo II's Mobile Doll target programming and tactics during battle. One other variation is that when the Gundam Scientists who remained as prisoners in the hands of OZ and later the White Fang rebuilt the OZ-13MSX1 Vayeate and OZ-13MSX2 Mercurius into Mobile Dolls. Both of these suits Mobile Doll AI system were equipped with battle data from Trowa Barton and Heero Yuy from when they previously piloted these suits, and were later single-handedly destroyed by Duo Maxwell.
Although the MD program proved to be a resounding success for the most part, it was not without its flaws. As they could only be programmed with a set of commands, a MD could not innovate in battle or change tactics unless specifically programmed to do so, allowing older, weaker mobile suits to defeat them in certain conditions. However, the heavy attack and defensive power of the Virgo worked to mitigate this, allowing the MDs to dominate the battlefield by sheer firepower and overwhelming numbers to overcome the deficiencies of its programming. Even so, a MD still could not attack anything it was not programmed to consider a target, and could be tricked into attack friendly units.
Planet Defensors: The "planet defensors" are small disk-like drones that can be separated from mobile suits and can arrange themselves to deploy an electromagnetic forcefield that would protect the mobile suit. The OZ-13MSX2 Mercurius mobile suit was developed as a testbed for the planetary defensor system by OZ. The Mercurius' forcefield was so strong that it was even able to block a shot from Wing Zero's buster rifle although a subsequent shot could penetrate the weakened shield. The defensors were carried over into the OZ-02MD Virgo mobile doll (though it appeared less powerful then one used by the Mercurius), which combined features of the Mercurius with some from its offense-focused counterpart, the Vayeate. A Virgo on its own can only generate a shield that protects from fire in one direction (as one Virgo only carries four defensors) - however, three Virgos working in concert can deploy their defensors in a globular shield, as can the Mercurius (which carries ten defensors.) OZ later developed an advanced variant of the Virgo, the WF-02MD Virgo II, which carried eight defensors per unit; this machine was stolen by the rebel group White Fang and is often associated with them.
Capable of defending against both projectile weapons and particle beam weapons, older laser weaponry was deployed that could penetrate the field. However, the reason the lasers were no longer in use was due to extremely rapid overheating in combat, often leading to the weapon exploding in the Mobile Suit's hands. Planet defensor fields were also breached by melee attacks, suggesting that it takes a certain amount of force (either constant like a weapon attack or focused like a laser) to break through the field.
ZERO System 2.0: This modified system provided better and more detailed information than the systems in either Wing Zero or its rival, the OZ-13MS Gundam Epyon. However, these improvements came with a price; just as the benefits were strengthened, so were the flaws. While the original Zero System merely urged its pilot to follow certain courses of action, Version 2.0 actually forced them to follow these paths.
Mobile Doll Jamming Pods: A unique feature of the Aquarius, these pods broadcast a virus that disables the IFF module of all surrounding Mobile Dolls in a 10 km radius, leaving them completely defenseless and making them easy pickings for either the Epyon or the Aquarius. However, as its name suggests, only Mobile Dolls are affected by the virus.
Phase Shift Armor: Phase Shift, or "PS" armor, is an armor system that uses electricity to reduce the damage from all forms of physical attacks although in most practicalities, PS armor makes a mobile suit virtually immune to solid body impact attacks.

  • Trans-Phase Armor: Trans Phase Armor (TPS), which improved on PS Armor by only activating at the point of impact. Because the PS armor consumed large quantities of energy non-stop until it is turned off, it rendered most mobile suits at the time with a very limited operation time. This also left little energy for the power-hungry beam weapons. TPS armor was developed to solve this problem as it only activates upon contact, enabling the mobile suit to conserve energy while not in use.
  • Variable Phase Shift: Variable Phase Shift allows the MS to automatically alter the strength, and by extension the power consumption, of a Mobile Suit's PS Armor, depending on what combat configuration that MS is in. As a result, the MS's colors changes. Unlike Strike Rouge's color-shifting PS, VPS is capable of changing its strength in the field.
