Asgard Personnel
An originally mismatched group of pilots assembled to fight against the Aerogator menace, Asgard has become a well trained and efficient army devoted to stopping the terror of Wilhelm and the Testaments. Asgard must play the balance of power and responsibility while doing everything they can to save the various worlds from the predations of whoever would invade them.
Recently, it was revealed that the funding and technology for the Asgard station have been provided by Klein Sandman and Banjou Haran. These are the Pilots and Supporters of the Space Station Asgard.
Another thing to note is that, for the sake of convenience, the list is using Army ranks for everyone listed here, but certain characters technically have Naval ranks, such as the N.U.N.S. and S.M.S. members. Zeon and the Earth Federations.. any of them.. are less consistent, and ZAFT does not use a standard military ranking. As such, we have chosen to list them using Army ranks. This having been said, there is a comprehensive list of how military ranks relate to each other located here.
High Command
The movers, shakers and decision-makers of the Space Station Asgard. These are the people who handle the strategic, tactical and political aspects of Asgard, what they represent and how to use this power. There is a balance among themselves, and with the civilians pilots, where mutual respect and coordination becomes necessary.

Ship Captains
Asgard's second line of command, and usually in complete command while on the field, these are the Ship Captains, who form the Asgard Station Fleet. They are usually the ones who handle field decisions, and are in charge of the pilots' lives, as well as mission control. Their rank grants them a position among High Command, and their united front is often meant to be the counter-balance to the harsher conclusions that High Command may come to.

Space Battleship Yamato Crew
The Yamato (BBY-01), originally known as Yamatte (Yamatte, Yamatte) to the Gatlantis Empire and, sometimes, to the Great Garmillas Empire, is a Earth Federation Cosmo Navy space battleship, and the inaugural vessel of the Yamato-class. First conceived as an evacuation ship for survivors fleeing the Great Garmillas War, an unexpected gift of highly advanced wave-motion technology from the planet Iscandar convinced the leadership of the United Nations Cosmo Force to use it in a more ambitious and dangerous plan to save all life on Earth from extinction. During its first year of service, Yamato and its crew also became involved in the Garmillas Civil War, brought an end to the war with the Great Garmillas Empire, discovered the legendary world Shambleau, and made first Terran contact with the Gatlantis Empire.

Field Command
Active pilots who have gained rank, they are usually the ones in charge of the whole operation, and who other pilots should look up to and listen do for split second decisions. They are also invited to Command staff meetings, to represent the pilots and give field reports from the front lines. They have a say in tactical decisions before a flight, and participate in the day to day command while not on alert.

The Lieutenants are normally in charge of wings, if the pilots are splitting up for different fronts, or if the higher ranked pilots aren't around. The others are Asgard's main bulk of military pilots, whether it be Variable Fighters, or Mobile Suits.

Enlisted
These are enlisted pilots and soldiers. They did not undergo officer training, but have proven themselves as competent field operatives. Less generous groups may call them 'Grunts', but Asgard is a meritocracy, and as such, they are considered a valuable and irreplaceable part of Asgard's fighting force. Many of them have security and disciplinary roles on the Space Station Asgard.

Mobile Suit Team

A mobile weapon is the generic term used to describe vehicles that incorporate technology typically found in mobile suits, as opposed to conventional vehicles such as tanks, planes, and ships. The term "mobile weapon" can be used to describe any vehicle fitting that definition (such as mobile suits and mobile armors) but is typically only used when referring to more than one type simultaneously or when it is difficult to label a vehicle as a specific sub-type.

Celestial Being

Gundam Meisters are pilots who are chosen by Veda and Celestial Being to operate the mobile units labeled "Gundams". Once selected and approved by Veda, a Meister is assigned to service under the tactical supervision of their coordinators. Not all Meisters joined Celestial Being by their own will, some were drafted/forced into the organization for their abilities. The organization is tolerant of members of lesser backgrounds for the sake of achieving their goals. Both Krung Thep and Fereshte have Meisters of criminal backgrounds, but were chosen for their exceptional mobile suit piloting skills. All Meisters go through military training and abide by their code of secrecy. Breaking the code of a Meister is considered a severe crime and is punishable by death. Meisters like Marlene Vlady and Fon Spaak have special explosive neck bracelets that can kill them instantly if they are deemed a necessary sacrifice.

Super Robot Pilots
Team Dai-Gurren is the team of human warriors founded by Kamina that fought against Lordgenome Teppelin's Beastman Empire. It was changed from its original name of Team Gurren after many new members joined in Episode 7. It is also called the Dai-Gurren Brigade. Within the expansive timeline of the Getter Robo universe, an essential component of the series is the Getter Team, the trio of pilots who command the individual components jets of the Getter Robo, the Getter Machines known as the Eagle, the Jaguar, and the Bear. While Getter Robo is capable of being piloted by a single person, it is only when three hearts combine as one and work in unison that the true power of the Getter can be drawn forth and used at full strength.

NERV Pilots

"Child" is a term used to refer to the 14 year old pilots of the Evangelions. The term is used even for a single pilot, hence Shinji Ikari is the "Third Child". The children are supposedly chosen by the Marduk Institute, but in reality they are chosen by Nerv. The numbering system is based on the order in which the Eva pilots were selected. Asuka enjoys taunting Shinji by referring to him as the "Third Child", pointing out that she is the "Second Child", as if being selected before Shinji somehow quantifiably makes her superior to him.
